Had enough in his head to help set the goal up though ;)

Vern336 said:played some excellent balls tonight, won a few tackles too, one that sticks in my mind was the one where he won it in mid-field carried the ball between a couple of city players and laid it off to bainsy which we scored from, he did ok, he worries defenders taking them away from our other players, giving them space... yeah he makes mistakes and loses the ball with bad passes sometimes... no more than Jack R. or a lot of other players, give the guy a break, he's young and will become a world beater

What?!Drenthe is by far the most exciting player we have. His break forward is what created the goal for us - He also tracked back well when Richards came forward.I love watching him play and has all the attributes to become something really special - needs games before we see his true potential.Makes watching Everton exciting again.

Russell, he is a liability at present. But he is an exciting player and I hope we keep him.
Think that Pienaar coming in might do him good. In that he will come in and doing everything Drenthe doesn't do but should, he might keep Drenthe out of the team and the eye of other clubs a bit and if Pienaar doesn't stay then Drenthe should know what he needs to do to make the position his own. Hopefully we can get him signed though as he does have good potential.
Other than that you seem far to keen to over look his failings and I take this is a sign that you enjoy watching black men physically exert themselves to the extent where you opinion on the matter should be treated as that of a giggling 14 year old girl at a boy band concert.

Maybe we should see if Kilbane is still available.
