the lads work rate is fantastic now saha is gone we need another striker and ive watched jelavic quite a bit 442 would suit them 2 as jel is pretty lazy wont chase anything down but is always in the right position and can finish a bit like berbatov while dennis would do most of the chasing down etc

to me dennis was my man of the match and deserves a contract and if moyes doesnt sign the lad im going to be the next lad handcuffing myself to moyes and screaming in his ear until he does

To be fair, we haven't seen enough to sign him. Moyes has seen him in training and the lad is getting his chance. Personally, if he plays the next few games like that, I'd be tempted.

he has to start for us against wigan ahead of jelavic, he has proven everytime he has played he would give everything i would sign him for the apparent £1.8 mill agreement we have in place

he may well have won a new deal tonight......if he keeps playing like that, it'll be interesting to see who moyes drops for Jelavic......

Moyes doesn't let new signings just walk into the team. Unless we're down to the bones in the position

I'd deffo give Straq a deal. Altho, would he be as fired up with a contract under his belt? Who knows!

true enough, seen it many times how players go off the boil when theyve secured a contract but they dont call himm the firecracker for nothing! im not gunna go over the top based on a few good appearances, he's no Tevez yet the lad but a few years in the prem i could see him being very decent. maybe not prolific but someone like Jelavic could pick off the pieces that he makes for the team.

(would i be saying this had we lost tonight even if Straq had played just as well?) haha

Before the last couple of games I think the easy answer would have been no. But I think scoring that goal against Fulham has really lifted him. He was unlucky not to score tonight but he didn't half put in a shift against what has been the best team in the league this season, if he can keep up the work rate and chip in a few goals towards the end of the season I'd be happy for Moyes to sign him.

1.8 Million is that all it is? dont sound out of reach that even for us?
I hope he starts along side Jelavic against Wigan, it'd be differant and nice to see us positive away from home

not just lifted him, i didnt realise before that goal how much the rest of the squad liked the guy, and exactly how much this all means to him... i want people with that kind of commitment at our club
