RS tried to Swap Carroll for Tevez.....

    I'm kind of thinking that Carroll, apart from not being very good, must have problems off the field, more so than Tevez' little paddy whacks, cos to want to swap one problem player, for another, that is probably deemed the biggest pain in the backside in football, then Carroll must have some serious issues with either Wurzel and/or the rest of the squad.

    not surprised never did suit liverpool system.  same with torres for chelsea. leaves you with 2 options either change the team to suit the player or get rid of the player 


    i wouldnt be surprised if torres went back to spain either.


    still think torres would get around 25m for him for what he has done in the past and carroll around the same for being young and british.

    IMO tickets mate, i think Liverpool would be over the moon if they managed to get HALF the 35million back, and tbh, i dont they would get that.

    im not sure with Carroll who in Europe never mind England would pay any more than half (at a max) than what Liverpool paid for him. He has shown himself to be a liability away from the field and isnt exactly setting the world a ligh on it. Poor investment for me, if he comes good, i will happily eat my words, but i dont think i will have to.

    And this is off subject, but, jeez, Henderson, how much was he?  He is completely out of his depth at Liverpool.

    Well mate, there has to have been better players available for that sort of money. For me, they are a long way off CL standard with the quality of player they have. They maybe have the money to buy more quality if needs be, and they are lucky to have that, but, so far, Kenny aint spent it very wisely for me.

    hendersons like rodwell, you pay for the potential.  he has been average so far but is still only 21.

    he has the potential to be a decent player whether he will or wont we will see in time

    i see what your saying. however, i envisage Henderson to be an 6-7million quid player at somewhere like fulham where there is no pressure on him, at liverpool he is completely out of his depth. and as for Rodwell, imo, he played for England, and seemed suited to playing with (and it pains me to say it) a better quality of player and didnt at all look out of his depth at that level.

    sorry to interupt your conversation, interesting as it is, but i find this statement a little bit without any foundation. Who are they going to suddenly find their shooting boots with ? Torres go back to the sh11tee and Carroll back to Nukes ? neither will happen...The money they spent on him and the wages he's on, RS are stuck with him; end of. Torres only hope is Spain, and he wont be prolific there either......

    Torres is pure class. Yeah, he hasn't scored for a while but he will be prolific again. Tickets is completely right, he just needs to find a team that suits him.

    Carroll.... He clearly has potential but as Tickets said again, he just needs a team that plays around him just as Newcastle did. In fact, Carroll would be perfect for the way we play. I don't think his style will ever fit into a world class team though so he was never ever 35 million.

    i agree mate, even mates of mine that are RS fans say how faraway the team is from becoming a champions league team again. In the mean time, its great to heckle the ones who still live in a delusional paralell universe.
