think about it.what could be utilised at goodison to provide an extra income....?

Solar pannels, if everton filled the main stand roof and park end roof with solar pannels which we could possibly get funding for we could generate some extra cash ( and maybe electricity for the old scoreboard)

With the exception of Ross Barkley who was excellent and Tim Howard who had no chance with the only shot he faced.

Ross is okay but Tim Howard should be fined as well for wearing that horrible goalkeeper kit.

Steady on old chap, Tim after all is American and they're not know for their sartorial elegance... and rumour has it, he loves that camo kit. Thinking of getting myself... to go fishing in :-D

ye the problem is they are a long term investment.

You need to plough in 10k per panel to get them installed, and they weigh quite a lot. so the whole of the roof would have to be reconstructed.

and you are meant to get back around 10%, per year but it turns out to be more like 6% with the british weather, and you also have to pay for maintinence every year as you usually get a load of bird **** all over it.

I know someone who had 2 the return in investment was poor so he sold them and put his money in the bank instead. it sounds like a great deal for people who have money especially retired people, but it can turn out to be a nightmare.

That sort of thing is good for countries that see lots of sunshine not here.

Incredibly, for once I am almost in complete agreement with tickets11... even though I suspect the original suggestion was said somewhat tongue-in-cheek. Solar panels are also reliant upon the right type of water running through them, water that is massively free of any lime content that can fur up and clog the internal piping.

no no no ,isnt there a way we could get them for free http://solardirectsavings-px.rtrk.co.uk/?utm_source=Reach%2BLocal&utm_medium=PPC&utm_campaign=Reach%2BLocal. basically they would not be ours to own but free to install i think and we would get the money they earn

Not necessarily. It all depends on what codes were used to design the roof structure and what live / dead loads were factored in. Certain codes use a larger factor of safety than others. Although the roof design would certainly need to be looked at. A total rebuild seems over the top.
