The FA Cup

Why am I hearing that us going far in the FA cup our last chance in the prem? I've heard people saying that if we don't go far in the FA cup we'll be getting relegated next season... How does that work out?

I know we've had a bad season and we'll be lucky to finish in the top half of the table but I don't understand how people are saying this is our last chance. Really gets on my nerves at how people are being criticising on one of the greatest english clubs, being an evertonian we all know that we will come good, there's never any increasing doubt.

Nah they'll get relegated because of no new players who can create and players who can score. If you thinkthis current squad is good enough then you're afucking idiot.

Saha 21 games 1 goal and hes the number 1 forward.

But eh if someKnob on a forum reckons the team will come good with players being sold and not replaced then we will never go down.

Not saying this teams as a whole will come good, there has been bad misfits in the attacking roll but just imagin cahill in form like 2 years ago and a nice new forward to recoup saha being past it.

From now on until about 2014 we're gonna be a mid table side the only way that will change is a different board

i'm not sure about people saying it is our last chance in the prem, but certainly our last chance of getting into europe and therefore attracting players/keeping our players.

Although yeah im well aware there is no point in being able to attract a certain calibre of player if we cant even afford to bring them in... :p

No we wont come good.  don't you get it we are in deep, deep trouble.  we haven't got any money what so ever.  we've sold our best players and can't replace them.  we've got a squad full of ageing players who are past their best and not interested in anything else other than a paycheck at the moment.  we play the worst football in the league.  we can't create chances cos we've got no creative players and even if we did we couldn't put those chances away cos we havent got any decent strikers.  we will lose baines, felli, barkley and rodwell but wont be able to spend the money on replacements.  the way the club is run is an absolute joke and our manager has completely ran out of ideas, he's finished

look at our next 7 fixtures - wigan, qpr and liverpool away.  city, chelsea, spurs, arsenal at home.  we've struggled at home against blackburn, bolton, norwich, qpr, stoke etc... so imagine what those 4 teams will do to us.  i can see us winning at wigan and picking up 1 point out of the 2 games away to qpr and liverpool but the 4 games at home we will be lucky to get even a point

after the next 7 games we will be well and truly in a relegation fight and i fear for our chances of surviving it for the simple fact that 1)we cant create chances 2) we cant take chances 3) the atmosphere around the club at the moment is awful and we don't have the spirit anymore that is needed to climb out of a relegation fight
