Up and down this country, behind closed doors, executives talk to bankers on a daily basis and there is a fine balance between continuing to trade and the plug being pulled. As long as the real picture is kept behind closed doors and the bankers and executives play the game they continue to do business. However, if those conversations became public knowledge the bankers would be forced to pull the plug because their risk management team would come down on them like a tonne of bricks. I don't doubt that Barclays knew the position or knew within reason what the position was/is, however when BK was on record in the public domain admitting that he blags the bank on a daily basis the bank would have had no choice but to jump on the club, so no the BU releasing that transcript didn't help
As for anti BU propaganda... at the end of the day the BU lied about wanting BK and the board out. They came up with a statement that they were opposed to stagnation and would work with the board to achieve the best result for the club. If they had just had the courage of their convictions to stand up and say in public that they wanted BK out... fair enough. But they didnt.

You're just speculating for all you know without the verbatim account of Bill's ramblings the bank were already knocking. The accusation is mud slinging by the anit-Blue Union Blue Bill bumming happy clappers. The anti brigade are just as gay and pathetic as the BU.

Forgive me OGV...but are you saying that in the risk business of the football/commercial world we live in ..that Everton's perilous position was not recognised until a few supporters..BU..asked him a couple of questions which he.. BK.. could not/would not answer? and subsequently blamed BU for his gaffes?

Exactly, it just shows how well oiled the Kenwright PR machine is its about the only thing he's mastered damage limitation the fat ponce
