has had a quite season, but has been impressive most of his time at wigan.....would be much better than anything else we have up front... -

it would be a decent start........we need 2 new strikers....if we can get him in on the cheap, and then with the Bily money & potential money from the sale of say Rodwell in the summer, we could bring in another quality striker in the summer window..... -

players like Buddle (just like when we signed starquilarsi) don't interest me at all.......they're just short gap solutions to a massive problem.......i'd much prefer to see Vellios given more games than bringing someone like Buddle.
we need to start rebuilding for the long term, and look towards next season, not the remainder of this season.
If we can add someone like Rodallega now......and another striker in the summer for about 8-10 million (funded by the sale of rodwell).......then we would be looking at 3 new players in our attack, I'm including Barkely in that who i imagine will become a first team regular next season.....thats a decent start in a massive rebuilding job that we need to do over the next 2 seasons.... -

Posts: 36January 2012 Hleb is free now.. apparently Barce are cutting his contract short so he can get a club, so with maybe him and hugo rod both for free, dign Drenthe up. again for no fee, hopefully will have some money then for another striker in the summer.

He will want to go to a club that is moving forward, and even though he wouldn't get much game time he would be on better money than what he would get here. That's how I see it anyway, I think he would be happy to go to a club were he would earn good money.
