Mario Balotelli a victim? No, he is just the latest to join football's persecuted mindset
    http://tinyurl.com/7pjhbs9
"There was a suggestion on Twitter this week that it was not the FA's disciplinary panel that had it in for Balotelli, but Sky Sports, which was manipulating TV footage to indict their man. This would be hysterically funny, were it not all said with such belief.
But paranoia is not confined to a single player, agent or club. Take Liverpool, currently floundering because their one decent striker, Luis Suarez, was banned for eight games by the FA for repeatedly calling Patrice Evra "negro", and tried to skip the rap by arguing the semantic toss of Uruguayan Spanish. Fair cop? Not according to the Kop.Never has so much bile been spat by so many disgruntled fruitloops, convinced by the circularity of their own solipsism that Suarez is the blameless victim of a conspiracy against their club, rather than the recipient of a painstakingly considered sentence.Or take Manchester United and Arsenal, whose long-serving and brilliant managers Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger have spent their whole careers suggesting that the world, the FA, the referees, the TV schedulers, etc, are in league to do their club over.In fact, which Premier League manager have you not heard complain of such dark forces of injustice? So many of them are apparently so regularly screwed over that it's a wonder anyone ever wins the title."

he got wrongly sent off in the liverpool v man city league game a few weeks ago. Just becasue he was Mario Balotelli.

From the referees perspective, at full speed, its hard to tell what intent was there, it would not stand up in a court of law thats for sure. Its only cos it was slowed down in super slow mo and watch from 42 different angles that all of a sudden its a problem. If it was Frank Lampard or David Beckham it would have been brushed under the carpet. Whether you think so or not, is your opinion, in my opinion, he is being victimized for being Mario Balotelli.

I like him, he is good for the game, he has a great attitude, he does not care what people think of him and he plays with no fear! AND because of this, he is being victimized! The FA are a joke! When it suits them, they watch the game over 20 times in super slow motion and then choose to charge players they dont like to make an example of them! ITS DISGUSTING! There's no consistency from them, there's no wonder all the referee's appear crooked, if their own bosses cant be consistent, how are they supposed to be! The FA are getting worse than Sepp Blatter and his tyranic organization FIFA!

WHAT EVER YOU DO, DONT EXPRESS YOUR SELF IN FOOTBALL OR HAVE A DIFFERENT ATTITUDE TO ANYBOD ELSE, COS THE FA WILL THROW THE BOOK AT YOU, STRAIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF YOUR EYES AND A HARD BACK VERSION SO THEY GET MAXIMUM AFFECT!

And the funny thing is, NON OF THIS IS BILL'S FAULT for a change!

OUT WITH THE FA! JOKE ORGANIZATION!

    RANT OVER!

    Balotelli is cocky:

He cares what everyone else thinks about him, hence his slogan:
    "Why always me?"

He deliberately stampted on Parker's head. It was clearly deliberate. He deserves a season ban for being a filthy player. I used to like him, up until this incident. If he leaves the Premiership for what he calls "being singled out", then good, I say.

I dont think he does care, i think he dud that for the humour factor tbh mate, i laughed, you probably did too. Yes he is a bit petulant, and needs to give his head a shake at times, but, who in this life is perfect? I know im not thats for sure. If you take his confidence and bravado as being cocky, thats your take on it, i see it diifferently. However, i am getting fed up with responding to this thread now, some people have seen my point, others haven't, thats just how life is! :)

no that is not your point.

    your point is,

"I like him, he is good for the game, he has a great attitude, he does not care what people think of him and he plays with no fear! AND because of this, he is being victimized! "

inconsistency in referring is a valid point. we all get the benefit of instant replays, refs dont.

you will never eliminate all inconsistency, not just in football but in life.

Personally I'm not so sure it was deliberate and people should give him the benefit of the doubt. When you lose your balance the way he did it could have been a natural reaction. They had an interview on sky with a specialist who said it wouldn't go anywhere in a court of law because it could have been a natural reaction.

Sambo I do agree that it is difficult to be sure whether it is deliberate or not and when watching it at normal speed it is questionable. Saying he is victimised I disagree. Whenever you review incidents like this you have to take into account his previous actions. People like him and Barton have shown time and time again that they are prone to taking a cheap shot so therefore when things like this happen you assume it is another example.

If it was Gary Lineker who has never been booked you would give him the benefit that it was accidental. Therefore its not victimisation but purely looking at your history for a character reference. Yes you might then be unfairly accused but that because you have created that image for yourself. Also the punishment was inline with the rules for that offence.

What was victimisation was Duncan Fergusons ban. TV evidence was used eventhough it was against the rules back then. The ref saw the incident and gave a yellow so as today no further action should be considered. Pushiment was given but due to being in prison the ban was delayed (double punishment) then when he moved to the Everton the ban should not have counted as it was in scotland but the SFA requested it was adhered to. This was for a headbuttt that made minimal contact and the opposition player admitted to diving.
