    why are we not try our best to sign him.. swop deal (+ cash) we have some player that could easy be swopped out Sarah, Nev, Cahill Distan, Billy.

    I believe we have tried to fully sign him in the past, but LA Galaxy said no. The only reason they are loaning him to us is because their season is over. We are paying some of his wages, and keeping him fit in the process by playing him.

    He's really good, but he's 30 now. Do we really want to pay for a player that old? We would have to offer at least £5m. We don't have that money, and his club wouldn't accept it anyway. For someone who will play two more seasons at his best, £5m isn't a good price.

    With his Class & Professialism, ok he's 30 - but he looks the kind of player to be at his best till 36+

    It's possible; look at Giggs and Scholes. I'm all up for signing him, but what I'm saying is LA Galaxy won't sell him for £5m. They are reluctant to let him go. Even if they will sell, they will want more, and that is money that we do not have.

    That is true. But I can see LA Galaxy offering him whatever he wants in order to have him stay.

    we need try the first time around i know.. but they (LAG) wanted 10Mil+ . if his contact is up, why try and swop deal or get him on per-contract, i'm sure if we give Sarah+ money or Billy they snap it up

    He's having a poor game today tbh. Although cant really blame him for missing his chance, I wouldn't have passed to Saha either.
