    Hi,

Im trying to do some research on merseyside derbies and im trying to find out which Everton players scored in the 3-2 win over Liverpool in 1985 for the Phil Neal testimonial match at anfield.

2-0 down and then the comeback to win 3-2 plus Bobby Mimms debut i believe.

Can anyone remember who got the goals ?

Tried googling and gave up. If you can find the answer via google good luck. Best option is to find people who may have gone to the game.

Sharp and Gary Line-acre Seems a viable answer. Can anyone confirm ?

Ummm, i actually went to that match, the One & only time i've been to Anfield! I of coarse remember we won 3.2 by can't remember Goal-scorers? Could've been Sharp, Lineker and Wayne Clarke Pen?
I remember a Sky-diver landed on pitch before KO

The link only shows Liverpools side of the story. This is documented in a few places. Neal and Johnston scoring for them.

Can't find Evertons side anywhere. However 2 confirmations of Sharp and Lineker and now a Wayne Clarke pen and sky-divers !

    Thanks for the info

    Not a bad return for a 50p stake. :)

Found it yesterday, yes it was 50p. Unfortunately i didn't write Score & Scorers on. Maybe the details will be in First Home prog of that season v WBA.........I'll look for it tonight.

If you 'Google' Everton Results, its a comprehensive site about Everton History etc, BUT can't find anything about Testimonials or Friendlies?

Thanks for looking and finding the programme. I think I will go with your first instinctive answer of Sharp, Lineker and Clarke. Before you know it, that will become Official after I document it. If you have any luck with the other programme then great but thanks for your help.

Definately wasn't Wayne Clarke as he didn't play for us untill the next season, could've been Sheedy.

I guess Nobody would argue with that. Sharp, Lineker and Sheedy seemed to be the most prolific around that time. On e again thanks for taking time to dig out your old programmes.
