    "
who thinks this is the end for Bily"

I think we all know that bily would have been sold by now if there was a buyer for him. the idea that we can just sell a player anytime we like is unrealistic. someone has to want to buy him.

squad players are not in demand by big clubs and other clubs already have them.

saw in the papers Wolfsburg are rumoured to have renewed their interest in Bily, but it would be for a 5mill deal or something i think is what there talking in the paper

The RS look like they're also about to sign a young portuguese playmaker, Joao Carlos, also from Sporting Lisbon, for about £800,000. He's 2 years younger and is getting alot of hype in the media (as every RS signing does). I wonder how the 2 of them compare in reality

I tried finding something on youtube about Silva but all i could really find was just picture compilations and not action footage

Just an example of what bily can do. I fully acknowledge that he has been woeful in some games for us and doesn't work as hard as DM would like but the lad can play. Would love to see him given an extended run in the team, in a central attacking position, for at least 5 starts (he doesn't have 2 finish each game) and see how he gets on. Bily would benefit more from having players like Barkley, Drenthe and Vellios playing around him, players that can play ball on the ground, who make the right runs and who actually show for the ball. instead he plays with the statue like Saha and Cahill, who have neither the legs or the quality to make things happen. long balls being lumped forward by jags, distin and hibbert to name a few suit very few modern footballers, least of all bily who watches the ball fly over his head and is then forced to compete for the secondary balls from the heads of defenders. Play it to feet for 5 games with 2 up front. If nothing positive happens, get rid of him in the summer. It surely has to be worth a shot considering the crap that is repeatedly tried on a weekly basis clearly isn't working.

Bily suffers slightly with our aerial game, he is poor in the air but solid on the ground, tactics change i couldnt see happening as it seems DM's way or the highway...

Bily is lightweight in possession and his positioning has been poor. His passing has been worse. i know he hasnt had a "run" but i genuinely wouldnt want to waste a sub every game because he is struggling to adapt.

simply if we get a good offer i can see us taking it, but i would hope if we do, it isnt on deadline day and it is able to be at least partially put back into the team

Agreed. Our game.....sorry moyes's game... doesn't suit most players of any quality in our squad. It's time to change the system and actually play a bit of football a la norwich, swansea or west brom. just go for it - we have far better players than any of those clubs

Loan Billy out if we are not going to use him. If he performs well he will help increase his value.
