I can see him coming back in a player/coach role for some reason, prioritisng as a coach and only being played when absolutely necessary.

If he was to come back he would come back as a coach, surely even we wouldn't sign a 41 year old defender!

In all fairness, if he came back for 6 months with a view to going into a coaching role, could be good in the long term for the club, imagine what duffy could learn from him??

I can also see Phil Nev making a good cach so he is another one i would be keeping around the place when he eventually hangs up his boots :)

There's been no link to Everton... All that was reported is he wants to leave rangers to play in england how does that mean us?

Because 1) He is a an ex Evertonian
    2) We have a defensive crisis ie players out injured
    3) He is Scottish
    4) Where skint

There is four good reasons why that means us , and if my memory serves me right I am sure we have mooted the idea of a coaching role for Mr Weir before !!

Iff Weir comes here to play instead of Duffy it"s a step backward, but that"s how Moyes has been going this last year or so.

How many defensive minded coaches does one club need?
