"Everton's injury list is still copius, with the possible addition of Sylvain Distin (hamstring) and no return yet for Phil Jagielka (knee), Leon Osman (foot), Jack Rodwell (hamstring), Tony Hibbert (groin), Seamus Coleman (thigh). Youngster Ross Barkley (knee) has also been missing in recent weeks."

    Vellios

    Drenthe - Gibson - Cahill - Donovan
    Fellaini

    Baines - Sheitinga - Duffy - Neville (c)

    Howard

Subs: Hahnemann, All the young defenders are out on loan so does anyone fancy being an emergency defender, Moyes?, Bilyaletdinov, Gueye, Anichebe, Saha, Stracqualursi

With Duffy inexperienced and he has only played along side Sheitinga for about 20 minutes against Spurs I think we should opt for a solid midfield to give him cover. Also with 5 in the middle we can play the ball out wide instead of just passing Baines and hoping he can do everything.

same but Saha out front, I don't see Vellios starting although I'm certainly not against it, Saha has been very poor this year. As long as Drenthe and Donny are out there I'm fine, other than that we really don't have many options- if any...

I would drop Gibson and put Saha up fornt with Vellio. THen consider bringing Gibson on for Cahill. I felt the formation at spurs worked with 2 upfront but Anichebe was not up to it.

Doubt Vellios will start or get any time moyes hasn't played him at all in weeks. Strange as he seems to score when he plays

Leave Gibson on the bench no point playing a player whos trained with the team once, id rather have two strikers, whoever is up for it (sly dig at saha's recent performances)

Just thinking about Duffy. The 5 across the middle would take the pressure of him.

Wish you'd stop calling Heitinga 'Sheitinga' as it's getting boring..... But I agree with your choice of team, apart from Cahill, I think he needs to come off the bench. Play Strac with Vellios. Just noticed Coleman's out injured, d'oh!

IF Moyes was being Defensive later this afternoon, maybe we could play Mucha in Goal WITH Howard or as a Sweeper and leave Saha on the Bench HA HA HA Ha

    Howard
    Neville, Heitinga, Duffy, Baines,
    Gueye, Cahill, Fellaini, Drenthe,
    Donavan,
    Saha.

I'm sorry for the fella but he can't start Billy again.
Donavan's position is behind the striker, in his first 2 games he's the only one that looks to bet defenders and wants to shoot.
Gueye and Drenthe can switch wings throughout.

Howdy, Stranger!
