(1) No, they were probably not prepared properly as I feel Moyes might have only practiced 4-5-1 in prepartion for this game. However, fitness wise I cannot comment as I didn't watch the game. Though looking at many of the comments on this forumtoday, most of the team looked half-arsed.

(2) See above. I can uderstand Moyes wanting to protect Saha so he can play him against the stronger teams, but the starting selection and foramtion was poor. Beckford is not a "lone striker". Playing any variation of 4-4-2 with Becks and Saha ( or even Yak and swapping Saha for Yak after 60 mins) would have seemed more sensible.

(3) These days, I think Moyes gets his substitutions wrong far more often than he gets them right. today was no exception. If he wanted to play Cahill up front, he should have kept Becks on as well (2 men up front).

(4) I do not blame Bill directly for the loss today. on paper, our team is far superior to QPR's. Bill said what he had to. However, it is likely down to his poor financial management and planning that we are making a loss each year. Something could be done (merchandice, tickets, wages, marketing, renegotiating) to reduce the clubs annual spending by £5 million, especially since it's been going on for a long time now. Because of this financial mismanagement, we couldn't even strenghten our squad with free transfers!

This is just my oppinion, and is based soley on the information that is available to us fans.
