I for one am glad we signed him as we have a threadbare squad at the best of times. Lets be honest in the last couple of weeks we've had phil and johnny in the centre of the park and we wonder why we can't score for toffee ( pardon the pun ) This boy is going to want to show certain ex managers and team mates that he can cut it in the prem week in week out. Heard lots of negative comments on the lad but lets get behind the lad and hope he can add a goal threat for our non scoring team. For the money we seem to have purchased him for it could turn out to be a great deal for him and us. Fingers crossed and welcome to everton gibbo an appearence from the bench tomorrow with a 30 yard screamer in the 90th min to win the game would be nice

He's 24 and will be trained the man u way, which will be a positive.
I don't really understand the negativity- we've signed a young midfielder with top pl experience. If he was from a lower league I suspect he'd be welcomed as a bit of a punt!
Just look at the Barcelona team for other players fergie has released! He doesn't always get it right!

All's i'm going to say is look at the countable amounts of success Tim Cahill has achieved since moving from Millwall wonder what if people were saying the same thing back then about him

Got to say, for the money, i think he may turn out to be a good addition to the squad! Having seen him a few times i think he will at least give us some much needed mobility and attacking play in the middle of the park? Good luck son, welcome to the family

Not the biggest fan of Gibson in the past but he's one of ours now. Hope he prooves all the doubters wrong and becomes a success at the club.

regardless of how he goes, new faces coming into a threadbare squad with boost the morale of players.. it looks positive if we have signing on players regardless of who they are

And he is from the premier league. Right about boosting the morale of the players, the lads must be excited about it.

Good to see the support for Gibson.

Agree with the posters comments and feel for what options we have been putting out Gibson can definitely offer something different. I know most would like to see a striker but I would much rather see a playmaker and hopefully Gibson can offer this. The goals would be nice but I hope he brings a passing game that helps open up the defence and finally creates chances for our strikers.

Howdy, Stranger!
