Culured? No. Good vision? No. Good engine? No. Creative? No. Combative? No.

The article on the main site focuses on his ability to shoot... lets hope that's all we ask of him...

    Giovanni Trappatoni says different!

I think he'll shock a few people actually. Just been looking at the united forum and they all rate him at more than what we got him for and all wish him luck. You don't come through the united academy and play in a champions league semi-final if your garbage.

Not only that, he's only 24 and will be desperate to get in the Ireland squad in Euro 2012. The more I think about it, this is another amazing coup.

"Gibson has great vision and he shoots very well. but in the Wolves game, Manchester United won 4-1 and he was on the bench so it is hard for him."

Although Gibson is still in Trapattoni's plans, the Italian admit that he will find it hard to select him for next summer's European Championships is he does not start playing more regularly.

"It is a problem now that he stays on the bench. In one month it is very difficult to recover your condition," he added in the Irish Daily Mirror.

Trapattoni said: "He can do more. He has big potential and the right mentality but I said a year or a year and a half ago that if I was Gibson I would go to another club where I can play continuously.

"With this you can build your mentality.

"Manchester is Manchester and is obviously an important club but sometimes in the end you need you need to play, play, play.

"You can take confidence from this, but I think he is fantastic."

funny thing is, because of how we play right now & our lack of talent upfront....we badly need a player who will just shoot from 30 yeards out....we literally have no one who does that......still a shlt player though.......

who cares what trappatoni say, the mans been senile since he turned 70.

Ferguson would rather play an unfit paul scholes rather then gibson, which says it all.  United midfield is the weakest its ever been and he still cant get in.

He turned down sunderland because they wouldnt pay him his 40k a week, looks like we will though.

I'm a United fan hello and I'd just like to say I think it's a good deal for Everton. He has received unfair criticism from United fans just for the fact that he hasn't been good enough at the very top level. But why Everton fans give him stick I'll never know. He's a good CM just not good enough for the top level. He's played in the Champions league and done well like last season vs Schalke in the semi final and the season before when he was one of the best players vs Munich in the Champions league.

His passing ability is great, he's got a good eye for goal and is passionate. He's better than Rodwell, no doubt about it. His vision is actually good. And before you say something I'm a ST holder at United. The on the things he lacks though is pace and mobility but overall a good CM. He'll be a starter for you's and if he's not I'll be completely shocked.

My guess is, in this interview, Trap was speaking in italian....and was basically telling his translator what he'd do to her if only he was 50 years younger.......she then smiled, turned to the media, and made up all that crap about Gibson......

You brouht back a way past his best scholes rather then give gibson a chance.  A move that stank of desperation but he did it anyway, that tells us everything we need to know about gibson.

Gibson wasn't in the team for two reasons. 1) He was trying to sign for Everton and another he had been dropped from the squad prior. And what you talking about mate, if Scholes played for Everton he would be starting for you lot.

What a bunch of cunts Evertonians are. We're worse than the redshite.

Do you think Osman would of got as many games as Gibson for United?

Just think - no more Neville in the midfield.
