Another defeat, without testing the opposition goalkeeper......

Distin off injured (didn't you just know that would happen).....

and looks likely that Liverpool have won the Carling cup......(and yes that trophy does matter).....

    bo****ks....

Please don't let them win Carling Cup. Be like they won Champion's League. Mass masturbation by their fans, deification of KD, bus parade through city, ten page spread in Echo.

Kenwright let Moyes spend some money please.

Think that was always there aim, as a back up incase they dont get 4th.  its the same with the fa cup they know the likes of chelsea and arsenal will concentrate on the CL and united on the league so theres a chance they could play against weakened teams

i wish our players had the same attitude....the past 2 seasons we seem to treat cup competitions like unpaid overtime....

why is winning the league cup a back up for not getting fourth?? Does that mean that the league cup winners get a place in the CL?

so if they dont get 4th place they can still say they have won a trophy this season.

its important because it keeps their brand strong.....the media will make a big deal of "King Kenny" winning another trophy....and they will sell loads of merchandise around the world......No its not as big as getting a op 4 spot & champions league cash, but marketed correctly it can do alot of good for them.....

i dont presume its a back up for the CL mate though, might just have been the way you worded it, but there is no back up for the richess that come with getting inthe CL for me
