true, we could get him. But thats our money gone on a defender, when everyone knows our problem was midfield/attack. The oinjurys to defence have just compounded things. If we bought him, and i do like him, what happens when Jags/Distin etc are back from injury? We are stuck in the same boat, more defenders on the books, and not scoring many goals.
Regardless of some of his strange decisions previously, i really, really wouldn't want to be in Moye's boots right now.......

Militancy in this form is nothing like passing illegal budgets, kenwright must go, you are right in one aspect things were grim in the eighties in liverpool, and the best comparison I can make is that everton under kenwright is like liverpool under Thatcher, that is destitute and falling to bits.

Thatcher saved your collective arses, show some respect, she overruled Geofrey Howe who was (as were many others in power) in favour of managed decline of Liverpool as punishment for disruptive militancy, thank Heseltine for what you have today.

the people of this city have not elected a single Conservative Councillor since Thatcher's demolition job , so YOU show some respect for the views of Merseysiders.

MavisCruet said:I am making a belated new years resolution to not read any more posts about Kenwright or the board after this, mainly because you're nearly all a bunch of ill educated muppets.
It is noticeable that there are always a number of adamant anti Kenwright posters that appear with no previous posts during these times, almost like the Bunion are deliberately waiting...
The accounts I have been through year after year, they stand up. Moyes has been responsible for offering contracts, if not negotiations, and simply Kenwright and the board have ridden the finances as hard as they can to provide Moyes with the money. We don't make enough income to compete however. That is the bottom line. We need more income. A boycott is the exact thing we don't need. Administration, 10 point penalty? seriously?
Idiots

MavisCruet said:Honestly I could barely read that.
My point, you semi literate, was that Moyes agrees to extend Cahill's contract, Saha's, Neville's. These are the biggest financial millstone. The CEO or board it whomever will indeed do the negotiating, hence my words "if not negotiations".
We evolved to use words to communicate, English is a rich language, and all the words can be used to convey meaning, punctuation is useful for guidance too, I heartily recommend it.

Elstone has also moved to rubbish reports that have suggested that club was being overpriced by the board.
"There are a number of individuals, groups and companies interested in Everton and genuine conversations are taking place about future ownership and future investment," said Elstone.
"Discussions are still at an early stage. What I know to be absolutely the case is the first question asked by us in these discussions is never 'How much?' but always 'What are your thoughts, intentions or plans for Everton's future?'
"I'm tired of saying it but the club is absolutely for sale and has not, and will not fail to be sold because it's too expensive or comes with onerous conditions."
A protest march against the current board is being planned by a section of Everton supporters before their next home fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers.i found that on the net don't know weather its true.

HOWIE8 said:How many of these are right...
1. Kenwright actually said, there would be money to spend in January, but nothing like some other clubs might spend.
2. Moyes said its unlikely we will have any buys this January, everyone knows the Arteta money went to the Bank.
3. Landon Donavan in on loan, how much is the insurance on that ?,wages?
4. Darron Gibson BOUGHT for an undisclosed FEE, how much ?
5. In one thread it now says Moyes said after yesterdays game, we hope to get 3/4 players in this window.
Conclusion from above is someone is not talking to the other, and yes money has already been spent this window and more to come...........
