Forget about a striker, we need to sure up the defencse and middle of the park

    If we have money it should be going on somebody like Samba, G.Cahill, Huddlestone (not sure if he's injured, or just cant make the team)

    unless a really good striker becomes available, and again if we have the money.

    Trouble is, we dont have a pot to wee in. And tbh, our defence is the least of our problems, baring jags injury. We need a striker desperately. The last few years have been the same old story, created loads, finished little. The next priority is a creative midfielder because now, we are not even creating chances for out strikers which, i think is one of the big reasons saha isnt scoring........hes not a work horse, hes a poacher.

    lets say all goes well for Jeg 6 weeks out is a long time in football, Distan is not young anyhow, and we've got Jonny... so we're down to Distan and Jonny, and duffy as cover...

    holding Midfielders, who do we have there, Nev, Rodwell, Fellainil hummm... sure we don't need somebody there?!

    yes we do need need other players right winger, a nice clever play maker.

    there are many players not playing.

    again, I think moyes would play hibbo or nev as a centre back if need be, rather than duffy. its not ideal but unless a decent cb is available on loan, I cant see us signing on. distain isnt getting younger but hes been our best cb this year.

    I think we are in more need of a creative midfielder rather than a striker. A good midfielder is cheaper than a good striker. We are usually playing quite well with the ball around in the midfield. When we want to try to score we sent the ball out to Baines, who makes a cross in, and all the other offensive players run to the box hoping for the turn of events. What we need are some options. Someone in the central midfield that can create some chance from the centre on his own. 

    If we can sign Drente then we could sell some midfielders to generate funds for a good creative central midfielder. 

    Regarding the strikers I would like Moyes to give more time to the younger ones, Saha is most likely retire ring from Everton after this season and he is currently not performing. Better to give the younger some game practice and chance to shine and improve. If Saha had delivered I would have kept him as we need tools, but when he is not we are not losing anything from developing the younger players that we will have to rely on in the future.

    Huddlestone can get up and down the pitch. I've seen him score some great goals.
    i guess my major worry is that we've got Jags out 6 weeks+, Distain is old, Jonny would move at stiff and another club, cahill is getting on and not playing so well, Nev is older still, Rodwell is injured and in and out of the team and same with fell

    maybe put a cheek bid for J. Cole, god knows he need a new start and is a cleaver player.

    nah not j. cole lol, the problem is we have a good creative midfielder (yet unproven) barkley who wont get played. obviously rodders n felli our 2 holders, we have osman i would say cahill but when he was cm he didnt even get a touch of the ball for 20 mins odd. but good cm's are hard to find these days. we do need a striker as we have 3 senior ones (if u include anichebe and straccy) one who hasnt shined and one who is still findin his feet. so if we do bring in another what happens to the rest? i think straccy will improve given the chance and hes shown a good footballin brain. anichebe has had his chance unless he actually tries this season. saha can still be a great striker for us yes he's had some dire performances this season but i put that down to confidence really.

    Don't forget Distin is our cover for bains as well. So anything going wrong with Heitinga, Distin or Baines in the next 6 weeks will see us really struggle to put together a tight/experienced defense! That's a big problem with some of the fixtures we have in February!
