Moyes in the Papers

Reading this article gives you the impression that he is not happy with the current set up and sounds like he is losing patience with Bill.

    1. he goes against the party line and announces the bank got the Arteta money when the club have spent so much time covering this up.

    2. He admires the way Tottenham "have backed their manager" because they have given them money to invest.

    3. He does not believe that Everton will buy anyone this January.

With all the stick he is getting he might be feeling that he is being made the scapegoat for the season so far. I do feel sorry for him because he has done an incredible job over the 10 years and we have definitely over performed. I am fastrated with his selections, tectics and substitutions this year because I feel that has not allow Everton to compete properly.

It is interesting how he mentions he likes the way they play but is not willing to try that style with Everton (I know we dont have similar players but other teams like Swansea give it a go)

I think something will have to happen soon because it looks like we are sinking rapidly. Bill has gone underground again, Moyes is speaking out and the players are looking disinterested.

In hindsight we are top half which we should be happy with but my issue is I no longer enjoy watching them and their lack of fight that has always been associated with Moyes team has dissappeared. We started playing attractive football a couple of years ago but now it is dull and defensive.

We are going backwards and quickly

Hopefully things will change and I wil always support them to the end but currently its not fun to watch.

Just before a game, a manager is openly un happy, losing patience with the situation, im sorry but that shows its time for him to go. How would you as a player react to this, on the morning of a game, very poor management, look out for a real drubbing tonight, especially with all the injuries added to Moyes stupidness............

will be even less fun in 2 years time when were in the championship and struggling to even compete financially with these teams, were finished im afraid, if 70 mill turnover last year wasnt enough as we made a 3million loss its going to get worse its going to be same next season sell players like arteta and give money to the bank without replacing them, at this rate in 3/4 years time we wont even have a squad big enough to play proffessional football.

In fairness... there was arguably a lot more pressure on Steve Kean, a lot more negativity from their fans, than is all surrounding us at the moment ... and they went to Old trafford and beat them against absolutely everyones expectations...! As Daive says ... "that's football"

......i do think we'll get tonked tonight mind you

I hate to say it but from the end of 2010 season it has been getting worse very fast and i would be supprised if DM is in charge (he will walk before being pushed) then when a new manager comes in i can see a Colin Harvey effect.

Now that he's only on a southern biased cr4p Radio show, dont be surprised if he asks ANDY GRAY to be Manager again........we shoulda known then he was a fool at this job of Chairman. And before anyone says anything, it was Walter Smith that told BK to get Moyes in and not BK who poached him from Preston.

If we don't spend any money and sign anyone this month then BK is a liar, and we have to sign a striker to be honest.

"he goes against the party line and announces the bank got the Arteta money"

bullshit as usual. you make this crap up as you go along dont you. there is no party  line. we all know the banks grabbed the arteta money and the pienaar money as well. why? because BU leaked the details of a confidential meeting with BK to the press. the local bank were no longer able to extend the help that they had because of that.

"He admires the way Tottenham "have backed their manager" because they have given them money to invest."

i expect he admires manc even more!

"He does not believe that Everton will buy anyone this January."

more bullshit. as if moysey makes an idiot like you a party to confidential information like that.

"With all the stick he is getting he might be feeling that he is being made the scapegoat for the season so far."

he's not getting any stick from anyone who matters. only from the braindead.

Every company has a party line on what is said in the media. You only need to see the leaked e-mails to see that. THe reason as you have stated we know this to be questionable is because it was leaked. So as my comment was the club stated that we did not need to sell him and that the money was going to be made available. Moyes is statement contradicted this. I did make it up just commented that he was making a statement that went against what the club had been saying.

"He admires the way Tottenham "have backed their manager" because they have given them money to invest."

Again his word not mine but my understanding is that in an interview when talking about lack of funds and to say that Tottenham back their manager by giving them funds could mean that he feels he is not getting the backing of Everton. Again just reading between the lines and maybe over analysing a simple statement.

"With all the stick he is getting he might be feeling that he is being made the scapegoat for the season so far."

Again he is getting stick on the forum which is the readers of this post. Also the media are commenting on the tactics and how poor Everton have been.

Like with everyone on the forum just giving opinion and happy to hear yours. I am not making things up and my concerns are more the style of football and tactics we are seeing. Moyes as stated has done an amazing job but this year we have looked poor. I hope he turns it around because I don't want to see him go. I just found this interview to be not his normal line and questioned whether he was fed up of supporting the board with his comments.

It could have simply been as another poster mention a way of stopping clubs drive up the prices.
