    An interesting post.

Evertonians everywhere are invited to contribute to a scheme whereby,an investment of the price of a pint, each week, for less than three years would result in supporters being landlords of Finch Farm!

You would think this would appeal to the STH's,the COYB's The IMWT's the pro and anti Bill's and the rest of the crew on here who daily profess their loyalty to Everton FC?

Not a bit of it....not ONE...repeat ONE positive response....despite the huge amount voluntarily contributed by those who spent their time, energy and talents in drawing up such an imaginative scheme

Can anyone explain this to me?

There's a thread about it on GOT as well as the other EFC sites. It'll take time but it looks like there will be some positive support.....

surely if these 30,000 mongs are brought together through this scheme, they will be easy to control and police than spread around all over?

Hang on, 30,000 people give 500 quid each and together buy Finch Farm, great. Now what? Explain the point. Is that it, do we just let the club use it then for nothing? Who pays running costs, staff wages etc? Who will be on the board for the company that would own it?

the 30,000 people would own the lease i think mate for 'x' amount of years, and i presume, or so im led to believe, that there is roughly a million quids worth of profit it in it per year, or something like that, so whats that between 30.000 mongs, roughly 40 quid each lololololol

So in just 13 short years, I would get a return on my investment? Wow, count me in. Also, presumably, the million profit comes from renting it to EFC. So how will the club benefit seeing how they are renting it at the moment. Why am I even asking? Some right f'kin lunatics coming up with these hare brained schemes. We'll have Jayee with his, lets all buy the club plan next. Heaven forbid what would happen if these people started businesses.

Think its more the nostalgia type thing, i sort of own a part of the club etc etc. If for example, somebody did take the lease on for 'x' amount, where would the money be invested by the board would be my main interest tbh

    exactly.

its nearly as bad as the RS fans trying to but out there club for 500m as they have a 300million fanbase it can easily be done NOT

only problem was when it came to giving the money no one wanted to do it as they couldnt guarantee any sort of return.

and what does everyone expect to happen, for them to simply hand over finch farm for free, just so that BK can remortgage it.  Or what happens when everton dont want to pay the rent, do we let a few payments slide, will everyone be happy with that

unless you have 30,000 people who want to throw away £500 it will never happen.

Finch farm is a brilliant investment, If we could guarantee that we will be in the PL for the next few decades, but we cant.  If we get relegated what happens to finch farm when we cant afford to pay he payments.

Too many obstacles for this to ever work, bearing in mind a lot of evertinans can barley afford the season ticket.  theres a reason we have some of the cheapest tickets going around, simply because if we increased them people wouldnt be able to afford to come.

30000 of us, we can't agree on anything never mind who would form the governing body, or let me guess would it be the trusteverton boys, in that case just send me your five hundreds and I promise to do something constructive with it honest, i don't think its the worst idea ever but why fund the current bunch of directors just so they can screw us more, I will give trusteverton 500 quid the day the board are gone and not a day before.
