seems he is available for just over 5m after newcastle blundered with the release clause.

Spurs have to be favourites, although wouldnt surprise me if united or arsenal come in for him aswell

We have no chance of getting him, he has proved to be one of the BEST strikers in the Prem...

If i was manager of a team that needed goals like Liverpool or Utd I would snap him up tomorrow....

He would never come to us

He failed medicals at I think Wolfsburg and Stoke for a dodgy knee, ticking timebomb apparently.  The reason we couldn't afford him when he was free is that he was asking 80k per week as a relatively unproven player in the Prem, now he will want more wages again, and he may break down at any time.

In fairness, any players career can be ended in their next game, that's just the nature of the beast.

yeah he's out of our reach on wages alone.......just aswell though, because with our clubs luck with injuries, he'd break down on his debut for us and never kick a ball again......

I think he is very overrated, its a good job we never signed him, I would much rather have Anichebe or McFadden.

I would rather us have brought back Marcus Bent or James Beattie.
