when the premier league kicked off and the money started rolling in, we went from top six to relegation fodder.
Kenwright steadied the ship and invested heavily in wages and transfer fees in comparison to previous years (Walter Smith I think actually turned a small profit on player transfers). This investment compared to our meagre income pushed us to qualify for the Champions League. A very unlucky draw against Villareal, who made it to the semis and probably would have made the final bar dodgy refereering, cost us dearly, both in finance and prestige. Our European performances generally suffered from unlucky draws and underperformance. Qualifying however, and retaining a manager whose star was in the ascendent cost us a lot in wages to keep together the team. That has stretched finances to breaking point.
As a result, we have to reduce the wage bill, and rebuild. The time under kenwright has heightened your expectation, just think back to Mike Milligan rifling one in against Wimbledon to keep us up on goal difference.
The Bunion are an irrelevance and deluded.

Oh and for those of u who don't know, the reason we're not getting sold is 'cos the Board want a 300% return on their share price which would make them an estimated£100m profit from us - not a bad return when ur 'Only selling in the best interests of EFC', of course u r!!
