Its on nsno, one or two of them were senior BU members. Who then went home to upload the video onto youtube, while Bill watched the match.

Why was anyone that surprised with the interview tape being released if idont want someone to know something I just dont say it or is bill to thick to figure that much for himself. Don't be upset if people interviewing you report what is said, I thought that was the point.

I think Bill is Media Savvy, the Bunion aren't.  When you get told something off the record it is meant to stay there, that wasn't meant to be released.  He was doing them a favour, reaching out, extending the olive branch etc.  It's poor form when the Bunion can't even aspire to the standards of journalists.

Take your point MC, but should he have told the bu given that he must have known that they weren't his biggest fans, spot on shout about the journalists though.

"or maybe they were just 2 normal fans who just wanted some answers."

'normal' doesnt yell thru railings asking questions it wouldnt understand the answers to if they got them. sub-normal would tho!

    "
What on earth did Mr Kenwright mean with that? Not the smartest thing Mr kenwright said say to the supporters is it?"

if you had half a f@ucking brain you wouldnt have to ask such a stupid question.

the BU have screwed us good and proper by releasing the details of a confidential meeting with BK to the press and telling everyone just how difficult our financial position is.

now the whole world knows that we have problems with our bankers, it upsets players, arteta has left, maybe others will want to leave. it will now be harder to attract new players, because our financial difficulties have been broadcast.

only complete and utter w@nkers would betray a confidence like that. these t@urds are not supporters, they have betrayed our club and done it immense harm.

He's blaming the BU for secretly taping a conversation that they shouldn't have. I'm not sure how that isn't the BU's fault. Or how thinking that the BU taping a meeting being their own fault could be seen as ignorant.

Blue Union, are no better than scabs.

the blue union are responsible for telling the world that the bank had called in EFC's overdraft.

that news in itself would help destroy confidence in the team and club as a whole.

it was a blatantly dishonest act by a group of ignorant people who know little, if anything at all about how business is done or ethics.

it may well have been a factor in arteta requesting a transfer and it means that other clubs can now play hardball in transfer negotiations. it will also unsettle other players.

it will also be harder to attract players to goodison. we may be suffering the fallout from this nasty piece of betrayal of trust at  the summer transfer window.

the damage to the club could even prove fatal.

The blue union has every right to express an opinion about the way the club is managed and to make suggestions about how to improve things. theyve never made any intelligent suggestions of course.

I dont object to people voicing their opinions in a reasoned and well thought out manner, but I object to what they have done to EFC.

by releasing a tape of a private meeting to the media and publicising our financial difficulties they have done immense harm to EFC. it not only proves how stupid and ignorant they are, but how fundamentally dishonest they are as well. in fact they are so stupid that they have no idea of the damage they have done to the club.

blue union owe EFC and all its supporters an apology.

The lies told by BK over the years are really beginning to accumulate. The latest one being that the BU has betrayed the club. The one before that being that we'll have money to spend in January, when I'm reading in the last few days we're in the LOAN market rather than looking for permanent signings. Where's the money Bill??

The guys who were in the video were asking reasonable questions and I don't think they can be vilified for doing so. Those who aren't asking questions about what is going on, and why we've been lied to, lie after lie after lie after lie, should be questioned.

Nil Satis Nisi Optimum? We might as well change it to 'Please Bill, take me up the ar.se and call me Susan' because Bill's taking the club for a ride and without money, we're just going nowhere.

Let go if you love the club Bill.

'Let go if you love the Club' - who to though? The first lot that come along? Perhaps the BU would be happier with Venky's in charge?

I don't blame anyone for being unhappy about us being skint, but until they come up with a decent solution the BU are really better supporting the club by shutting up. They've had their protest, they've destroyed any chance of credibility by secretly taping their first meeting with BK and they do not speak for anywhere near the majority of Evertonians.

    Ask toffeecup...'e 's a major problem wi'h i' like......bigger even than fckn off the club..try t' explain i' on 'ere.....

Kenwright met with a fan group who had concerns about the clubs finances. Seeing them as ture Everton fans he shared intimate details about the club and its financial position to them in the hope they would understand the situation a little better. This was done in pre-agreed confidence.

The BU recorded and released to the world and Everton negotiating position is not what it was.

Its not difficult to understand. Nor to grasp why a chairman who had always met with an communicated with fan groups now no longer does so.

“YOUR BLUE UNION HAVE REALLY BETRAYED THIS CLUB.”Posted by The People's Group on January 9, 2012 · Leave a Comment http://www.youtube.com/embed/c-BklwScNYs?version=3&rel=1&fs=1&showsearch=0&showinfo=1&iv_load_policy=1&wmode=transparent" frameborder="0" style="max-width: 100%; ">The Blue Union wishes to issue the following statement in response to the above comment made by Everton chairman Bill Kenwright during a brief and now well publicised exchange with a small group of Evertonians prior to Saturday’s 3rd round FA Cup tie with Tamworth at Goodison Park.‘The Blue Union’ are a group of ordinary match-going fans who have come together in sharing a common goal – the safeguarding and betterment of Everton Football Club.Whilst our aims and objectives are clearly contradictory to how we perceive the current direction of the club under Mr Kenwright’s leadership, we have always endeavoured to ensure that our protests have been carried out in a peaceful, transparent and dignified manner. As fans who have put a lot of money, time and devotion into following our club through good times and bad, we find Mr Kenwright’s comments to be incredibly disrespectful, deliberately divisive and without any substance whatsoever. Not only are his words offensive to the officers of the group, but to the many thousands of Evertonians who have shown their direct support for our campaign. The fans who questioned Mr Kenwright did so of their own volition, and independently of the members of The Blue Union that were present. We commend the civilised and dignified manner in which they tried to find answers to their concerns, and made particular note of the Chairman’s failings to answer any of them. We would encourage other Evertonians to question the chairman and other members of the board in a similarly civilised manner before all our games. With regard to the specific allegation of betrayal, was it The Blue Union who informed the fans, the shareholders and the Council that the money was ring fenced for the then proposed iconic stadium on the Kings Dock? Was it The Blue Union who attempted to pass off a Walter Mitty character, Chris Samuelson, as an Evertonian investor at a shareholders meeting? Was it The Blue Union who attempted to move this great club to a former council refuse dump and in the process mislead the fans into believing that a supermarket chain were contributing £52m towards the construction cost of the stadium which turned out to be a bare faced lie?Was it the Blue Union who handed over a legacy from Sir John Moores to the bank? Was it The Blue Union who attempted to mislead the fan base by informing them that the abortive Everton Place development was delayed due to an insurance problem? Nothing but the best is good enough? The sheer effrontery to attempt the deflection of responsibility for the many acts of betrayal against our famous motto by the chairman of the board is disgraceful. With last Wednesday’s visit of Bolton Wanderers attracting the lowest home league gate for a decade (29,561), we would respectfully suggest that Mr Kenwright should be doing his utmost to bring fans back through the turnstiles as opposed to further disillusioning them.Quite simply, Evertonians have had enough. Enough empty promises of investment, enough of the stagnation at the club, and enough of funding the contemptuous attitude that Mr Kenwright displays toward Evertonians – previously evidenced by the abolition of AGM’s at our club.T

we knew most of the stuff anyway, it was just nice to have it confirmed, so people couldnt say "wheres your proof".

even if it wasnt recorded Bu would of provided a summary of the conversation anyway, only then people would of said "this isnt true BU have made that part up".

same with the leaked emails, we all knew Bk turned to the likes of tim cahill and andy gray to say how well moyes was doing and how good the morale was around the club, but its nice to have it confirmed.

I mean seriously do people think its coincidence that a "we have 2 is 3 parties interested in us" article is released days before every protest.

If they came out and just told the truth for once maybe they the fans would show them some respect, but they constantly lie.  its only now people are starting to see through them.

Tape? What tape? Anyone got a link to this tape?

I challenge ANYONE on here to prove there was ever a tape!! It's put up or shut up time now - and that invitation is inclusive of any Board Member and any employee of Our Great Club.

You see, there is no tape and there never was. There was also no confidentiality agreement between anyone BUT the parts of the conversation that BK asked to remain off the record - have remained so!! Ask him urself if u can, this is a FACT!!

Let's also look at the bigger issues here, EFC NEVER denied any of the content of the meeting n since it took place, Keith Harris has told SkySports that the selling price is circa £150m which if u don't know would make The Board an estimated 3x profit on what they paid for them - strange that really when u consider they're ONLY selling for the good of EFC and not the collective £100m profit they are looking to make from us!!

So I said it at the start and I'll say it again, TAPE?

    Aww my heart bleeds

Well if the poor little old man can't withstand a few scallies giving him some tame stick through railings then it just concretes the fact this poor poor little old man should not be in charge of a football club
