Anyone reckon this is a blessing in disguise? Might actually make Moyes play some more attacking players in the middle of the park seeing as Heitinga is pushing back? What d'yall think?

While I think that its good we won't have a centre back in the midfield (although I think he's been ok there) we still have Neville in there and right now he just doesn't give enough to the team despite his efforts. All he does is pass it sideways and slowly at that, he isn't going to do much more.

Other teams when they have injury problems find it a good time to give younger players a chance and as a team that supposedly gives its youth a chance we haven't been doing it at all even though we have some really good youth players sitting on the bench right now.

I hear what you're saying about Neville but we can't play 451 now with ossie and Rodwell out so this might force Moyes to play 2 up top (I think I just forgot about Cahill)

and hibbo is out. will mean PN will go back to RB probably. I hope we get a chance to see Duffy today and rest Distin. Apparently Duffy has been brilliant for Scunthorpe.

Maybe it would be a decent to have Cahill further back in midfield, I've always thought he's been ok when played further back because he doesn't mind getting stuck in and would likely be a bit more adventurous than Neville, it would probably put less pressure on him to score and at the same time make it more likely for him to score xD

Tim Cahill is NOT a centre midfielder, he never has been and never will be, whenever he has played there in the past we lose our shape, wednesday night against Bolton was a prime example and no, im not blaming him for us losing, cos there was nobody else to play there
