We really do have some terrible players!

Phil Neville really needs to play championship football, hopefully not with us!

Heitinga, how the hell does this guy play for Holland? he's never been a footballer, our lass could defend better than him! (And i meg her frequently!)

Magaye gueye, i thought he was supposed to quick and skillful? he doesn't seem to know what the ball is when he get's it. erm ... erm ... Where's Baines? This belongs to him doesn't it?

Cahill, most over rated player in the premiership for the last 5 years, can head a decent goal i'll give him that, and he can run around a bit but as a footballer he's awful!

Straq, just looks like a bull in a china shop! Good grafter but never going to score a goal!

I love you Moyesie but *Ray Wilkins voice* MY WORD!

There's no balance to the side going forward, WHERE THE HELL IS DRENTHE???

what about saha, cant pass 2 yards, cant hold the ball up, unwilling to make any kind of run, he is a lazy yakubu!

Hibbert, great at blocking the ball but a total shocking footballer.

jagielka, since he started getting in the england squad on a regular basis he has been shocking.

With regards those 3 mentioned -

Saha, i totally forgot he played for us, his first touch is just like Tim Howards goal!

Hibbert, his best asset is the ability to block shots, terrible with the ball, always has been but he works hard and is difficult to get past.

Jags, great defender but does he have to punt it Unsworth style to the edge of their box EVERY time he get's the ball?

There are some consistent themese that run through all the posts yet the managment team don't seem to be seeing what we see. I honestly don't think it helps having an ex-defender and an ex-defender as Manager and Assistant Manager.

Where are all the kids; they have got to be better options than the Old (geriatric) Guard that DM continues to rely on. We've got nothing to lose by playing the kids - they won't get results any worse than this bunch and they are probably going to be a little less predictable and probably a little more innovative.

How can the pundits say that Moyes is a tactical genius - this season he has been totally inept. On a windy day like today, the last thing you want is high and / or long balls. So, what does Moyes do? He plays two strikers for the first time ever and the team just start playing hoof-ball. And guess what the result ? We keep giving the ball way.....genius, pure genius. If there was ever a day to play it along the floor and go through the defence and not over it, today was the day. That said, the whole team need some passing practice so it probably would have made little difference.

Is Moyes a great manager or just a jammy sod? He might know how to motiviate but it sure as hell doesn't look like he can coach.

And so to the Tamworth game. If the plays the kids we'll win (and the week after they will all be back on the bench of looking for teams to get their agent chasing a transfer). If this lot play again, we will draw and then either get beat on penalties at their place or stuff them 3-0 with Howard scoring all three.

Well we aren't going down and we aren't getting above 8th so nothing to lose. Drop the cw@p, Cahill/Saha/Nev/Heitinga and give the young lads some game time in preparation for next season.

I agree with most of this but the point about Hibbert tackling well and  blocking shots is pointless if he then gives it back to them  but I think I have the answer ------ Moyes should tell him to give it back to them -------- then he is bound to misplace the pass and we will get it , brilliant

I sort of understand why Moyes wants these boys to stick around, they have experience but they are all squad players at best.
Landon started off well but as soon as the defenders in the middle of the park got tired the ball just didn't reach him at all. Gueye was quiet too but again same problem, with the centre of your formation old defenders with no creativity whatsoever, the rest of the team can't do much else other than chase the lose balls passed to them.
Saying all this, it was a bad night tonight and even the players you expect to do something were out of ideas.
Neville needs dropping from the whole team however!! I'd love to know how many of his passes in the last few weeks have actually been successful and he's been at fault for a few goals now too.
Playing Heitinga out of position has not helped the lad one iota! When he was put in the center, his passes were all over hit, probably because he is used to playing balls further back in the field. No excuse for a pro footballer I know but when he was shifted back into the back line tonight, his defensive skills were poor.
I thought he did ok against west brom, was starting to remind me of a Tommy Graveson type player but he should be sitting behind an attacking central midfielder imo.

I just voted to retain Moyes, but I have to chime in with: Any manager worth his salt, would have told his players before leaving the dressing room, on a night like that, to keep the ball on the ground. Carpet football, boys, bear that in mind !  Why would anybody want to loft the ball all over the place not knowing for sure where it was going to land ? I bet Howard never thought for one moment that the ball was going to end up in the net. It's a wonder it didn't land up in Gwladys Street.
