What players coming to Goodison made your day?

I was looking at the other thread and couldn't name a player (I already expected Pienaar to leave, so it didn't really break my heart, but I was surprised by Arteta leaving, had a strange feeling, not a broken heart but something in that lane), as I am still a new supporter, my first full season with EFC was 08/09, though I started to support them in '07. The reason I didn't support any team until then was that I cared more about basketball, now it's different, watching a lot of premier league games now as possible.

Anyways, what players were you most happy about coming to Goodison?

I was excited about Bilyaletdinov coming to us, now it's a little different story? Shoulda been given some good chances playing as COM.

Peter Beardsley. An exceptioal footballing brain, with the ability to match. Nothing beats getting a player in for a lot less than what they're worth and for 1.5 M he was a steal, even sweeter was we stole him off the other shower of beauts.

Interesting, how old are you Luke? as i take it your quite young going by your choices. Youve hopefully got a lot of happy signings to come in the years to come, i do say hopefully though......

Dave Thomas was my favourite player. Socks down, bombing down the wing, then Trevor Steven. To answer the question though, Gary Lineker.

the 90's anders limpard (SP) samways G8 at Spurs shame he didnt do it goodison, Ferguson, Kanchelskis, Speed. i was excited about Richard Wright, but that fizzled out, Gary Ablett, Don hutchinson,

Carsly, Gravson,  Arteta, The Yak, andy jonson.

i could go on...i cant really pin it down to just one player, as i dont think any player is as big as the club, they come to Everton to do a job, and I'm thankful for all the players that give/gave 100% for club and fans, no matter if they made it we us. Do the best you can, and work hard and the Everton fans will love you.

thats what set us apart from other fans, we dont want the world.

As much as I hate agreeing with country bumpkins Gary Lineker was, but I was even more excited about little tony cottee, shows that fans excitement isn't the best thing to judge signings on. Especially as I was nonplussed when we signed Andy gray.

Come on not come om. No despite having been to university, I am fully employed and have almost finished paying my student loan back. My statement was based on the tit for tat you two have going, you're not a bumpkin just because you live in the country.
