    Well, let me think how much a decent striker costs nowadays ? err... Andy Carol...cost £35mio and has scored how many Prem goals this season...? err...one...! so clearly you dont get a decent striker for £35mio..... reckon Vic will have a greater goal tally than him by the end of the season !

    i think we might have 4 or so mill to spend but like escla said, proven, experienced strikers cost more than that.
    its more likely we will go to the lower leagues or european leagues if we do. take a gamble and hope DM gets it right

    Why are you talking about taking a gamble, we have 2 gambles sitting on the bench most weeks in Strac and Vellios. Do we need any more gambles?

    Actually, on reflection, that last bit is bull ! he wont get more than Caroll, you know why ? because now that we have paid his wages for 5 months to sit lie on the treatment table and he is fit again, he will bugger off to Nigeria for the African Nations Cup again !

    I'd personally prefer keeping the money and buying Matt Jarvis in the summer... we need a quality winger and Jarvis is that of quality
