Read the statement by Derek Hatton on the Blue Union meeting with BK !!!!

    It's on the club website now and supports the suspicions I posted about last night - that the taping and transcribing verbatim of the meeting was done without the knowledge and approval of either BK or DH.

    The Blue Union are a disgrace to the good name of the vast, vast majority of Evertonians.

    Irrespective of how anyone may feel about BK, to behave in this manner is reprehensible and abhorent - they certainly do not speak for me.

    Shameful and underhand!

    I'd imagine for a lot of fans who were kind of on the fence about them will definitely not be on board now.

    I was reading a Phil McNulty blog on about this on the beeb website, and one of them even hijacked that post the entire transcript in the comments on the blog

    It most certainly is, and even moreso if it's already been agreed that everything is in effect 'off the record' and 'between these four walls.'

    I've worked in sports media and to behave in the manner that these people have done would see a sports journalist, if not out of work, certainly treated as persona-non-grata by players, officials and clubs everywhere.

    I suspect though and would strongly advise BK to resist the temptation to go legal as that would only draw more attention and notoriety to these attention seekers.

    My advice to the club would be to say nothing more about the Blue Union and maintain the moral high ground.

    The club have already said they haven legal advice but wont be proceeding.

    I'm not sure where, but I saw that they HAD approached the club solicitors about the situation, but had decided NOT to take any legal action, which although probably within the clubs rights to do so, I think it is probably the right decsion not too

    What a fu'cking embarrassment and shambles of a club we have now its a shell of what it used to be in the 80's. Shouldn't the board be addressing the failings this meeting unearthed and not dwell on whether to sue 3 muppets and a dictaphone? Whats more criminal is that all you balloon heads are up in arms over it cloaking over the shi'te these three lads have shown to us all.If only evertons investment team were as good as the everton spin/propaganda team.

    And Hatton what a washed up hypocrite he is he can't label anyone underhand the crooked camp get
