When everyone is droning on about the fact that we shouldnt have sold Yakubu blah blah blah, and Moyes shouldnt have sold him, blah blah blah, people seem to forget that Yakubu wanted to leave and he was hell bent on leaving. He had made his mind up from the summer of 2010 that he wanted to go, and if he wanted to go he was always going to be sold.

He was in terrible shape when we loaned him out to Leicester last season, playing out of shape in the championship isnt like trying to play when your out of shape in the premiership either before anyone tries to compare. He was out of shape cos he didnt want to be here anymore.

So anyone tthinking he would have scored goals here this season with the motivation he had to be here, is sorely mistaken imo.

With a year left on his contract, and on 50k a week (which is what 2.5 million a year?) we really got 4 million quid for him if we do the math :)

It's been said many times. Yak has form for not trying a leg when he gets tired of a club and them coming alive when he moves.

See the fact that in the year he joined us, he had scored his last goal for Middlesbrough in February - that being his last goal in any league, cup or preseason game - until he scored 10 minutes into his debut with us in the September!

He didnt want to be here coz of the way he was treated by the manager.FULL STOP.....If he had felt wanted he would of scored goals, like iv put in other threads were lookin to spend millions on another striker who may or may not score but for example went to the worst away game you can get yesterady and got 2....END OF how manyb bstrikers in the prem score 2 at old trafford?

He must have had big issues with how he was treated by Middlesbrough management too (was it Southgate who was manager then?) cos he couldn't wait to get out of there either!

Either way. It's not the manager that turns you into an unfit slob!

why he wanted to leave? have a look the past...he was out of the team and don't be trusted

I wonder why yakubu can't get chance after injury...Moyes failed to get him back..Moyes did sth wrong from the beginning after his injuries
