I don't see the point in us signing De Jong to be honest.

You can't have more then 3 player on loan at one time (Donovan, Drenthe and Stracqualursi) so our only option is to look at permanent signings whether they cost a few million or f*ck all.

Realistically......i thnik we will end up with a young defender from either Portugal or Greece for 1.5 million who will be Distins long term replacement and will ply his trade for a year or so learning from the gaffer, cos lets be honest, he ruins strikers, but makes defenders into world beaters.

I think we will either sign Maynard in Jan for a couple of million or in the summer for nothing.

And i think we will either sell Rodwell in Jan or the summer, if we sell in Jan, i suspect we will see Barkley partnering Felli in the middle of the park and any money brought in from Rodwell's departure (if going in jan) will most likely be invested in the summer.

I think we will do all we can to sign Drenthe on a pre contract and i suspect we will sign another player none of us have ever heard of that plays behind the striker for maybe 4 million or so from a french team, but we wont see much of him until next season cos DM will say he has to give him time to bed in.

I also think that IF we do sign a striker in Jan, the potential is there to let Vellios to go out on loan to a championship side so he can get full games. By Jan time Straq will have been here a few months and i think he will start getting more games as DM has given him a few months to bed in and learn to play the Moyes way. Giving him 5 months to earn a full time place in the squad.

    That is all.
