Moyes Press Conference today

Anyone else feel the pre game press conference today could be key in setting the tone for the rest of the season.

I'm really hoping Moyes is able to be positive, put a positive spin on the last couple of days and tell us where we are with the squad ie. is this it for the season or will there be some "trading"

I feel that if he's downcast and negative, then that could have a big impact on the way the team start the season

Possibly shortly, just saw on twitter a one of the telegraph footy journalist saying he was "At Finch Farm to see Moyesy. I'm guessing there'll be no biscuits."

Nice one. Be interesting to hear if there's much said that the other journo's don't publish

I dont think Moyes will give much away. He will probably be really pi$$ed off by the stuff that was released yesterday, and I doubt he will say we are looking to trade players.

He will say he would have liked to strengthen the squad, but that everybody knows the finances at the club, and he will say he wants a good start to the season.

He actually seems rather defensive and aggressive at some points in the video

As did Kenwright with the unions interview.

No-one likes being called a liar or being accused of syphoning off money.

The club has progressed greatly under Bill but people seem to forget this

I agree with what you have said to a certain degree Milky. It sure did seem like he steadied the ship a few years ago but as a business man he would of known his limits and he would of known the long term future of the business doesn't belong in his hands.

Long term success was something that he knew he could not accomplish. He got greedy and tried to force the success that he knew he wasn't capable of via a back door route.

Lets not forget that while in some respects the club has progressed under him, he could be credited with totally burying our great club to depths even greater than the shambles of the 90's. We may never fully recover

He's talking down our chances a lot more this time which I'm pleased about

Also pleased to see him talking down Barkley

    True.

Alan Stubbs on five live was pretty poor "I don't want to put any pressure on Ross but the club thinks he is the next Wayne Rooney!!!"

The club has survived under Bill and everyone would give him credit for this.
This is all he was ever going to be able to do.
    He got lucky with Moyes.
But 12 yrs? Would you be happy after another 12 of such great progress and a debt of say £150mill?

Is it not true that Kenwright has always admitted that he can't take the club forward and needs an investor.

He is also looking to sell but only to the right buyer

Its good! Good to see he's still got the fire in the belly and the hunger for the job. I was more worried about him giving up with a wimper. Hopefully without too much pressure one the team (and Barkley, and possibly Rodwell) from outside sources this year, the team can kick on early doors and have another good start to lay the foundations of a great season

BS......... Not having that anymore mate.

Right investor ??....... You mean the type that will allow Kenwright to stay with the club in some capacity. He is only willing to sell if he can stay on and have some sort of say in things. Basically running the show with somebody elses money.

Thats another reason why he has never found the right investor....... because such a thing is absurd.

Who was it again that said they would never pump money into the club whilst he was around ?

basically if we receive a good offer for anyone they are going to be sold!!! they key is that moyes said "the money will go straight to the bank"........... so in other words, we will have to sell eventually to pay off our debts....

i am positive and love this club SO MUCH, as everyone on here does....

but im realistic and things look bad, so all im looking to do this season is survive and hope for a top 10 finish....
