    Whats going on????????

Why is this "well past his sell by date player" playing before Barkley?  Swans game would have been great for him...........  The decisions that are being made by Moyes that past 2 seasons are crazy.....

Can someone shed some light on this??????

I'm not a fan of Phil Neville as a player, in my book hes average and dont really get the hump if he does get picked because hes a true pro, keeps himself fit, doesnt moan, give his all. sadly a bit to late in the day to teach an old dog new trix

Man Utd won those trophies, Phil Neville sat and admired from the bench. And also he never played centre mid when he was at Utd.

He did play CM. his best game for utd was v's Arsenal as cm and kept patrick veira in his pocket all game.

His role last night was to keep swansea's (joe?) Allen quiet, which he did very well. He is not thre to be a playmaker

I put that down ter confusion like.... with two nevilles on the pitch at the same time, poor viera was probably thinking "how the firk can there be two of them that ugly".... he'd never have recovered if he'd seen phils twin!!!

I can't remember where he played at Man United to be honest, I don't think he can play anywhere other than right back to be honest, and why he plays in midfield only Moyes knows.

He played over 260 games for UTD won 6 titles, 3 FA cups and 1 CL. Like him or not you don't get to do that with a hard @rse manager like SAF without bringing something to the team.......

    Creatively Neville is, well not.

Defensively he's excellent.  Remember how Gareth bale tore us a new one last year?  No, we played Nev at right back and he was man marked out of the game, it reminded me of a young Unsy in the cup final, totally dominant.

He's a bloody boring player to watch, unless you're a defensive purist, and I think he shouldn't be allowed over the halfway line as part of his contract, but he does a very solid job man marking.

Last season Neville was solid defensively but this year it seems that his age has caught up with him. Although he was never fast he does seem to be a lot slower this year and because of that he's to easy to get past in centre/ defensive mid. He could still do a job at right back but to be honest Hibbo is doing a better job although Hibbo was shocking for Grants goal but then again so was Sheitinga and Jags went in a bit weak for the ball.

Neville is a right back in my opinion, I don't see him as a midfielder at all. I think some people may have a bit of a go at Neville because he doesn't offer much when he is in the team, but he is a good player to have around the club. But as I say, he is a right back not a midfielder.
