Whilst the people in this discussion now and i include myself, would be prepared to consider some sort aid to the club i fear that before the end of the day they will be outweiged by negative responses. I agree with someone i would love to see that bank debt reduced . How ???? season and ticket prices i would be prepared to pay an increase but realise not all fans are in the same position .How about a poll to guage the response , even though this would not be a true reflection

Thats £52 per year for 60,000 fans who, potentially, wouldnt even watch the team once at Goodison Park throughout the season. Also about 26,000 fans who would, in effect, be adding £52 per year onto their season ticket prices.

OK LETS DO NOTHING AND GO BANCRUPT, THANKS FOR YOUR POSITIVE ATTITUDE

HOW THE FORK CAN PEOPLE CRITICISE THE BOARD FOR NOT INVESTING IF THE SO CALLED FANS WHO CLAIM TO LOVE THE CLUB WONT COUGH UP THE PRICE OF A PIONT OF MILK PER WEEK?

Apparently when someone goes 'Bankrupt' their Debts are 'Written off'????????? Will Bill buy me a New Honda Aspencade first!!
I can't understand how we got in this **** in first place & why no - one will buy EVERTON FC?????????????

THE CLUBS ONLY INCOME IS FROM FANS ! EITHER FANS WATCHING ON TELLY OR FANS AT THE GAME. WE PUNCH ABOVE OUR WEIGHT IN TERMS OF LEAGUE POSITION AND OUR INCOME SO THE ONLY WAY TO IMPROVE IS TO INCREASE OUR INCOME ! WHERE WILL IT COME FROM ? THE FANS ! EVEN SOMETHING AS SIMPLE LIKE SHARPY ( SOMEONE THE FANS TRUST ) SETTING UP A PAYPAL ACCOUNT AND A FACEBOOK PAGE CALLED FANS UNITING SAYING THANKS AND NAMING ANYONE WHO'S DONATED TO THE ACCOUNT COULD EASILIY BE SET UP FOR STARTERS ! KNOWING THAT EVERY PENNY WOULD BE GOING TO PAY OFF OUR DEBT !

IF WE WANTED TO IS THERE ANYWAY WE COULD DONATE TO THE CLUB AT THE MINUTE ?

    Great idea gwladysstreet.
I for one would sign up for this.
As i live down south, its difficult for me to get to games (due to overall travelling costs) so the only money i really put into the club is through the amount of Everton related merchandise in my house :)
I've already told the family to only buy through Everton direct if they are getting me stuff for birthdays etc.

If you need any help or ideas, count me in (just PM me)

Put me down for £10,000.......but I don't want it wasted giving it to Anichebe to cover just two days wages, and therein lies the problem............

Sorry, but that's typical attitude of Evertonians

Want investment, as long as it doesn't come out of their own pocket. We get what we deserve imho.

Bill mortgaged his house, we can't find the cost of two pints per month.

I actually think that that is true in part, but only in part. There are many blues fans who would be willing to put money Into the club if there was a proper route to do so. A new share issue would be taken up by many fans as a way of giving the club money.

That doesn't work in anything other than the very short terms, as after year one we are still left with the fact that our outgoings are much more than our incoming. Share issue also involved cost and dilutes value to existing shareholders.

An injection of capital could be used to clear the debts, which would give us £4-5M a year extra not having to service them. Diluting existing shareholder value is somewhat irrelevant as the value of the club has already been reduced due to the debt which has to be taken into any valuation calculation.

We know that costs are not going to reduce if we wish to remain competitive, therefore the commercial side of the business has to be strengthened and prices will have to rise amongst other options. Seeking a billionaire is a pipe dream. Fans have to get real, we get what we pay for........

doubt the club ciould raise sufficient funds to clear the debts by a rights offer. what would it be £60m? Current share value is £2k ish, if second clas shares were offered at - say - £200 - we'd need 300,000 fans - likely?

The additional shares should be aimed at selling between 30- 50,000 new shares at current price specifically aimed at clearing the debt. They would have equal value and voting rights as existing shares as they have effectively bought the debt. They would be snapped up.

    snapped up?

    50,000 fans at £2,000

    are you so sure?

I've only managed to find two others prepared to give £5 per month.

A month or so ago a couple won £112M on Euro Lotto. Made me think............IF I'd won that, I'd give EVERTON FC about £25M - £30M to get a Real 'Goal-slinger'.

Would any of You's & how Much?

I'll continue to criticise Kenwright and the board, as I really don't like how we're made to look the fool every transfer window, not even being able to get free transfers in now. However, if a serious........ Idea was put forward, similar to this, I'd put £1/£2 a week in, what's a quid a week? Sod all. You'd only be a tight ar.se if you weren't prepared to do that, BUT it would be on the understanding that all money went into the club on transfers.

Why would we need a board or elections. We would be normal fans putting money in. As far as I'm concerned we would be doing this to provide funding for the club not to have input as to how the club is run. Who are we? Ebbsfleet?

All we need is some binding agreement as to what the money is used for. If we start bringing in a board or elections then we enter the realm of politics and that has never ended well.

If we start bringing politics in then no matter how well intentioned it is now eventually there would be a split in the camp and half the people would walk away and we'd lose half the funding. Elected representatives would start wanting expenses and salaries, that's less money going to the club. Basically human nature would get in the way.

I'm in on the basis that my quid goes into an account and is given the club for a range of defined purposes.

Not sure why the council is in any way important, it would be the manager who decided how the money is spent

i understand what you are saying but to just put the money in and expect it to run smoothly can not be garrenteed. some people are going to have to be involved to manage it, have talks with the club to make sure the money is used properly and to work on bringing in new donations. these things dont just run them selves.
