To be fair beano if you think we commit enough players forward during attacks (ecspecially at home) then  its YOU whos watching different games, our problem is if you play a lone striker he needs to hold the ball up so the wingers and midfielders can bomb forward, were as with us saha drops deep to collect the ball and there is NO ONE in the box,

    -----------------

Exactly, every single game we put a couple of good balls into the box but nobody gets on the end of them. There was two examples of this last night when the fans got frustrated when Baines and Drenthe put dangerous balls into the box but nobody got on the end of them.

exactly and people moan at saha, but saha has never been that type of player to bomb into teh box scoring goals like that, he needs a partner

    -----------------

its the type of football, and dont laugh, James Beattie would have thrived off.....

    -----------------

It never worked out for Beattie, but when he came I really thought he would do well for us.

if we played the type of football then what we are trying to play this season, he would of thrived on getting on the end of crosses, but back then it wasnt our style of play.......times change hey?!

We often have 11 players in the box, nearly every corner we defend!! I would love to see us break away and score from an opposition corner one day.
I thought Ba was overrated, but after his start to this season i now think we missed out big time. :(

I was really not up for Ba before the season, he looked more cold than hot at Wham.  Still, goes to show, even I can be wrong every now and then.

Saha isn't really the man for a lone strike role, I haven't seen enough of Velios to decide if he is yet.  he certainly has the physique though.

We would have ruined him!  Moyes would have made him come back for corners, defend and work away from goal... Then blame him for not scoring! Then selling him of for a £1 to someone like Bolton then see him scoring a hat full of goals...

Couldnt agree more with this, and even if i was a striker at an other club and was unhappy and i was looking a EFC i dont think i could be tempted by Moyes.
