Yeah, they're getting all the goals, but we got £1.5M pound notes........which we then wasted paying Faddy......

    what an enigma that guy!

lost all respect for him, treated us like **** in the end, probs do the same to blackburn after a year

It's still before Christmas.  I only assume he has a whole goose to himself because his new year scoring record year on year is woeful!

I would like stats for this actually.

I remember when he was young (really young as opposed to "29") he was usually up there with the best at Christmas, and nowhere come May.

I always felt we gave him away. I know that he always plays better in the first season at a club but like all our strikers he wasn't given the support needed upfront to show us whether he still had it. In our financial situation we should cash in on the strikers after the first year because after that their values drop. Remember we were offered 8 mill for Saha but turned it down and since then he has not scored as regularly (Again not blaming him but the lack of creativity and support he gets).

    Agreed!

Love the excuses on here, its all about man-management!

Yak didnt track back for corners or defend or do sliding tackles, he tried to stay up front to score and you know how moyes feels about strikers who like to score....  He gets rid of them and plays a midfield player up front!

    Great manager

Yak scores goals when he moves clubs.

Yak's goals dry up before the end of the first season, he puts on weight and takes his cash.

Yak tries to get back in shape and fails to score goals.

Yaks moves clubs and scores goals.

Yak's goals dry up before the end of the first season, he puts on weight and takes his cash.

    repeat....

    Boll***s

Yak signs for pompey scores 19 goals in his first permier league season, second season scores 17 goals

    moves to middelsborough

scores 19 goals and 16 goals in his first 2 seasons

    moves to everton

scores 21 goals in first season then gets injury that rules him out for the season

following season moyes comes out publically and says yak will need a season to recover and find his best form again

Aj sold and yak made to play upfront by himself getting **** service which our strikers still get today

Goes to leicester to rediscover form and regain fitness does this netting 11 goals in 20 games, does this and should get an extended run of games, instead is sold for a measley 1.5m and now has 11 goals already this season, while we are struggling to score.

at times yak was made to play with the reserves even when he was playing OK, he was treated like ****.  Its moyes job to get the best pout of his players and clearly yak can still do a job, if moyes hasnt got the man management skills to do this then thats his problem.

moyes has been made to look a right mug on this deal and rightly so.

If moyes had just signed a striker for 1.5m that netted us 11 goals this season, you would be on here saying " moyes what a legend" "where are those people who doubted moyes now", "yet another gem produced"

Yak is famously bone idle after starting at a new club only to go off the boil and want a move.

You are famously a pillock who only ever posts negative comments. Stop following my posts around you fecking imbecile.

no he  is not famously bone idle he has scored goals wherever he has been.

he left pompey to move to a better club (at the time) to middelsborough, he then left middelsborough to move to a better club i,e, here.

he never went off the boil at pompey or at middlesborough he moved to go to better teams, yet always scoring goals for both of them.

he came here and after his injury was played out of position and treated like **** even when he played well, THIS is the part that you dont want to admit to because it makes everton look bad.

Yak did everything right even when at leicester scoring goals which was what moyes wanted to see, yet was sold on the back of this for 1.5m.  again you dont want to admit to this as it looks everton look bad.

yak never went off the boil at all, Moyes was the one that ruined him.

And yet again, you leave out the bit about Yak scoring only one goal in his last 8 months at Boro (not sure if something similar happened at Pompey) - and the fact that when AJ was here, he wasn't playing up front with Yak!

I don't think you've forgotten all the phone ins and all the Boro fans dancing with joy that they'd gotten rid of him coz he'd done so little for them in so long - I actually think you've blocked it out cos it doesn't suit your wish to put Everton down constantly

Try this for one example for a Boro messgaeborad at the time he left...

    Chelsea.

That sticks in mind. This was the great Yakubu i remember. Basically his last good game for boro for me, and this was a season and a half ago, which aint good.

Great goal, shook Terry and Carvalihio aside, and looked a world beater that game, shame he never kicked on consisitently.

    Or try this...
    http://www.completesportsnigeria.com/blog/2011/12/dont-bank-on-the-yak-keshi

He’s a frustrating player, because with every club he’s signed for he follows the same pattern of scoring a flurry of goals in his first season before going stale, and in the end, he moves on.

It happened at Everton, and Portsmouth and Middlesbrough before that.

maybe because 3 of those 8 months was the summer break and he didnt just get 1 goal he got more then that.

and when AJ was here he did all of the leg work for the yak.

yaks strength was playing off the last man and getting the midfield to play him in, hence the song FEED THE YAK AND HE WILL SCORE.

When AJ left he had to do all of the leg work and create his own chances which isnt his strength, hence the goals dried up.

again basic stuff that we all know Beano.

the deal to sell Yak was poor all round, and the fact that we are now ourselves struggling to score goals while the yak now has 11, says it all really.

    REALLY

Try the last post in this thread from Yak's last full season at Boro. Posted in February, with 3 months of the season remaining, it states yak has 11 PL goals

    http://search.catflaporama.com/post/browse/529925345

    He finished with 12!

"he never went off the boil at pompey or at middlesborough" ???

    how did he go stale

    pompey

    2004-19 goals

    2005-17 goals

    Boro

    2006 19 goals

    2007-16 goals

    everton

    2008-21 goals

Injured for the season, moyes comes out publically and says yak will need a season to get back to his best

2010-loaned out to leicester gets 11 goals in 20 games

2011-comes back to everton sold for 1.5m

2011- 11 goals so far playing for the worst team in the premier league.

Of course he may score in bursts like most strikers, but so does rooney for united and so did cahill for us back in the day

not the point, the point is people on here trying to slag off the yak pretending he only has 1 good season, when his stats clearly prove otherwise.

the only 2 seasons he hasnt scored for us is when he was injured for the season and needed another season to get back to his best.  every other season he has been a CONSISTENT scorer and not just for 1 season.

THIS^^ is what people dont want to admit to.

again not the point the point is how many he scored

in the premier league from 2002-2003 season to 2007 -2008 season

he played 218 games and scored 92 goals

2008-2010 was injured and needed a season to recover

2010-  has played 50 games and scored 23 goals

apparantly being injured for 1 season and needing another season to recover from that injury means he only has one good season at every club
