Galway Blue Nose said:Was going to google one and copy and paste it but that would lack heart and sadly that is what is missing from this team. When I speak to my kids regarding school I tell them that I will always judge them on effort and not grades. My eldest is a bright lad and was chosen for what you would call a brain camp at university last summer,he is 13, he dropped from all A's to two B's and the rest A's in his Xmass exams. I gave out to him solely on his lack of effort not the grades he achieved. He is in a very privalleged position in that when he decides what he wants to do in his life ,he will have a bigger choice than most. I have no intention of influencing my kids choices but I will encourage them to be the best at their chosen field.
If I were Moyse I would follow the same line with the players.
"You guys are a privalleged group. You are fortunate to play Premier League Football. You are blessed to play for Everton. When you take to the field remember the thousands of fans out there cheering you on. In those group of fans are hard working individuals with families, they worry about mortgage payments, shopping, phone gas and electric bills. They worry about their futures, they worry about their kids futures but they love this club enough to come out week in week out to support You the team. You offer them escape, you offer them hope, you offer them joy. When you pull on that jersey remember that father and son on the terrace that have sacrificed soo much to see you. To see you play for the club they have loved through generations. Now I am not asking for goals , I'm not asking for clean sheets, I'm asking for commitment. I want you for the next 90mins to give everything to that father and son thats watching that you would if its your Dad watching you play for the first time. I want honest effort thats all. When you leave this pitch today all I ask is that you leave nothing behind, that you can go home to your good life safe in the knowledge that you have no regrets. That you can meet that father and son, look them in the eye and say I GAVE MY ALL.

Every week for 10 years?Come on Galway you can do better than this!Joe Schmidt does most of his work during the week, between games. The whole squad know exactly what's required of them.I'm not convinced that Everton start the game with confidence let alone motivation.
