"What we want are players who can make a difference," said Moyes. "We want them to entertain but for the right reasons. There will be periods in the game when the defensive side of things is not the biggest part of Roy’s game.
"But we had to get back into this game and it was the time for Roy to be most effective. Sometimes in the Premier League, the harder side of it is the defending. You are away from home, you have got to dig and keep in the game.
"If we have the ball all the time, Roy would be okay. When we don’t have the ball, we have got to make sure we have people who are going to win it back. When the games are like the way they were here, then Roy is terrific. He ran at them and created some nice opportunities."

As a manager you should be able to make him defend! Thats moyes strongest asset... Feed that inti Drenthes game like he did with Peanuts.... -

You never know. I think his "flashes of brilliance" could be his consistent style of play. They are an indication of the best of his ability, after all.
In retrospect; if Moyes had given Billy the same amount of time to adapt as he gave Pienaar, he might have been one of our undroppables today. I failed to comprehend why Pienaar was an automatic selection the first year he was with us. I watched with exasperation to be honest. Though when he came good, I was thoroughly impressed by Moyes patience and application.

He is one of our worst ever signings....How we could do with that 10 mill now.....He is slow, weak and gives the ball away far too often. GET FUKN RID. Take what we can get for him in my opinion we have Drenthe (who by the way we gotta snap up asap) Gueye and osman who can play on the left although osman slightly outta postition there. Then in the centre we have Rodders, Felli, Barkley, Cahill and Osman who should play a more central role so we have no place for Billy......PLEASE PLEASE LET HIM BE SOLD IN JAN. -
