I really don't rate him, but I know others do.  Yesterday he started on the right and spent most of his time popping up on the left, out of position and creating a lot of strain on our right defensively...

He switched to the left and looked much better keeping shape.  He nicked the goal but for me that was his only positive contribution to the game.

Too often he drops his head or throws his hands up in the air if things dont fall for him.  Is it just me that would prefer that he didnt start?

Garth crooks has him in his team of the week! What am I missing???

I rate Ossie going forward, but you're right about his positional discipline. luckily Hibbo isn't likely to be attacking the edge of their box like Baines and need covering.

Now that Garth Crooks likes him though, I shall be forced to hate him from here on.

I massively despise Garth Crooks and his steelped fingered *#?!wittery

GREAT FEET - GOOD TECHNICALLY- HAS THE SKILL TO BEAT A MAN - GOOD WORK ETHIC - GETS THE OCCASIONAL GOAL - GOOD BALANCE....CAN DEFEND - CAN PLAY EITHER SIDE OF MIDFIELD - CAN PLAY CENTRAL MIDFIELD -CAN SEE A PASS...

Goes to ground too easy...fades towards the end of games..

    you do the maths ....

I don't rate him, although I don't think it was his fault he went missing at times on Saturday, blame Moyes for putting him in the wrong position, and good on Ossie for not bitching about that! I'd be fuming. However, no he shouldn't be starting, Drenthe should. Donovan on the right when he's eligible, a new striker, job's a good'un!

If we had money he wouldn't get in the side. But we don't so he's as good as any we can afford........

Don't get me wrong, on his day he has one of the best first touches in the league and he does have quick feet and good close ball control... but he is far too lightweight and easily knocked off the ball... lets his head drop too easily... moans a bit too much instead of just getting stuck in... and most telling, for the skills you've highlighted he doesn't get anywhere near close to bossing/controlling games as he should for the talent he sometimes displays...

Osman is a brilliant little player who people don't appreciate much as he is home grown.

Needs to play central midfield with 2 strikers a head of him and he will be able to produce for us. He is not a winger but could work as a playmaker with late runs into the box. His touch and distribution is good and filled in well for Arteta when he was injured.

the last 2 seasons coming xmas and in the new year ossie has been one of our best players by far, hes a slow starter like everton are and always seems to excell come the second half of the season, he has been excellent past 2 season the second half of the season so lets hope hes going to do the same again, we need goals and he does pop up with a few and he atleast can create something different we lack from rodwell and felli, the whole team has been struggling not just him, but when our form improves he excells.
