The Spurs postponement hopefully...

    has worked in our favour.

That would have been a tough game, but now we begin the season with three home games and only one away in the first four and with Villa, potentially, the toughest of the four, shouldn't we be looking for and even confident of at least nine if not ten points from those four.

And a nice little win next Wednesday against Sheff United to get the Carling Cup campaign up and running, and by mid-September the dark clouds might be being blown in some other direction, hopefully towards or permanently over the dump across the park.

This is still the 'best squad since the mid-eighties,' so let's get behind the team on the pitch and the club in general to show it can be done without spending ludicrous amounts of money that we simply haven't got and simply cannot generate at the present time.

true but the qpr players will be in better shape and have just announced a new owner, rumours have it parker may be on his way.
while BK releases a statement saying we have no money and the banks wont lend us anymore.

last week after seeing qpr get thrashed 4-0, i could see us beating them 2 or 3-0. but now id settle for a draw considering the week we have had.

Explain to me how you worked out that QPR players will be in better shape ?!?

How does one game ( a tonking at that ) give the players better shape ?

The week we have had... it's exactly the same week as the manager and players have been used to all summer... absolutely nothing has changed except the perception of some of the fan base.

We have a good squad, earning good money and we have - in my opinion - a very favourable openng five fixtures, four at home, one a close road trip and not a Top Four or Top Six opposition in sight.

For heavens sake, unless DM and the players make an absolute town halls of this fortuitous situation, we could make our best start for years... and that will engender everyone with some confidence going into the next run of games.

easy there players have a competitive game under their belt and we dont.

a lot of teams struggle in their first game as the players are still getting up to speed. Chelsea, RS, even united were lucky to get a late winner,

    NO!

before you had the kenright lovers backing him all the way, Only now have some of them accepted what he is doing to the club after reading what BK himself has said.

then he comes out and says the banks wont lend us any money ffs.

How can a 4 nil home thrashing be classed as competitive ?

We are talking about seasoned pro's here tickets and a week and one game won't make a bit of difference.

Just like your views on playing better opposition in pre-season would make a difference. The shambles against Werder Bremen didn't do us any favours against Villareal either did it ?

ahahaha thats what I was telling everyone,

People were saying look at the rs they are conceding 3 every game, I said its only until you play the last 2 games against harder opposition is the true test to see where the team is and look what happened. we lost the last 2.

and it doesent matter they lost 4-0, the point is they got 90mins under their belt in a competitive game.

the best time to play the bigger teams is at the start of the season, united especially have been know to get off to a slow start every season

Tickets11... let's just imagine for a minute that we do take 10 points from the first 12 and beat Sheff Utd in the Carling Cup... would five positive results engender any kind of positivity into your world of abject negativity ?

By the way, I'm non-committal on the subject of BK, so don't label me one way or the other... my thread was intended to discuss the possibility of a securing a really good start to the season.

    No you muppet

I argued with you about pre-season opposition months ago. You were all for playing better teams as it would up the standard. How the players would up their game and it would create sharpness infront of goal.

I aruged that it didn't make the slighest bit of difference at all.

So, now that we have played a couple of decent teams in our preparation, how can the QPR players be in better shape after the thumping they had ? Just going on your arguements months ago...... Shouldn't we be more than ready now then ?

then obviously that would be great, But given the summer we have had, I dont think it will start like that.

what are you talking about now.

You know exactly what im talking about !!

You cried and argued with me about the quality of our pre-season games and how our preparations would be best if we played better teams.

Well, we did just that against W.Bremen and Villareal. You got your wish and so shouldn't we be MORE than ready for QPR ?

So....................... why would QPR be in better shape ? we played a couple of decent teams recently !!

Im basically taking the fcking pi$$ mate and how again you seem to contradict yourself

Obviously pre-season worked wonders for the Rsas they got a great 1-1 draw at home to Sunderland
