He totally changed the game when he came on. He has to be our new Arteta or Pienar

Dennis looked good also when he replaced Cahill.

The main let down for me tonight was Saha. Not good enough.

Worth giving Jordan Rhodes a chance? Scored 4 today. Might be in our price range, and he looks like a natural goalscorer.

    hahahahaha cracking Sambo!

But its true, he was attacking, and in style.....changed the game indeed.
Dennis played well.... the few backwards headers he put out made me think he got eyes in the back of his head...played some really good balls into good positions.
And then there's Connor, who had 3 goes on goal. He looks impressive. fking sack saha ffs...

well mate, the thing i say about the young lads is that they play without fear and thats what we need at the moment.

I get a funny feeling however, they are protecting Rodwell so he doesnt get injured before January......

If we can get Drenthe then that would be the biggest coup of all time. he is 10X any player we got. Straq looked lively as did Conor ....will DM play them from the start next game...no.......

I thought Saha played fairly well today, he was the only one who looked like scoring until Drenthe came on. I wonder what sort of wages it would take for Drenthe to sign a permanent deal?

I'm getting more and more sick of this crap about our formation being defensive. It's simply not accurate. We had 3, usually 4, sometimes 5 players in the box or within a step of the box EVERY time the ball came into it today and that's not including the set pieces where there'd be even more! I'm making this point every week and it gets ignored and you just get people spouting the same rubbish about 4-5-1 and 4-6-0 formations spouted by everyone else who follows the crowd and doesn't actually look properly at the play.

You can say there's a problem with the personnel chosen to play in about 4 positions, their willingness to take responsibility, their confidence levels, always looking to take half an hour to shoot. The fact that Pienaar and Arteta were our only creative players for years and why they haven't been replaced and how the quality of service now is poor. But these points are for an entirely different thread or several threads. Nothing to do with our formation!

and the fact that cahill has lost his only real quality-the ability to get on the end of crosses.  He needs to be dropped for his own good and used as a super sub if we get desperate

I am afraid I disagree. For example, Vellios goals against Bolton. Cahill still has a massive impact on the majority of games.

Drenthe in for Neville would be a good move for me. Felliani seems unable to run foward once he gets within 30 yards of goal, so drop Neville and let him stay in front of the defence instead. Let Osman and Drenthe go where they want. 5 defensive players should be enough at home to Swansea.

Please retire now Neville. You can't pass, you can't shoot, you are slow and you aren't good enough at defending either. We need creative players in midfield and you have to be the least creative that we have. Thanks for your service to the club, but it's time to call it a day!!
