PS3 or Xbox...

    Got both, xbox > gaystation.

    My PS3 is just a pretty paperweight.

    Fact:  Xbox live is far better for online gaming.  The price of a Bluray player is 40 quid now, that was the only thing it had going for it.  Call of duty MW3 for example on Xbox is far more stable for plaing on line.  If you dont mind being lumped with american players on american servers, PS3 is for you.  Microsoft also have a deal with ISP's and do not get bandwidth throttled.  

    In a nut shell, if you're after a media centre, go for the gaystation,  if you want a gaming system that you will regularly play online with, go for a sexbox.

    And you'll soon get annoyed with loud mouthed americans giving rock all........OGV imo,' al sum it up for you, you seem like quite  refined kind of guy, so, if you want a bit of class go with the ps3, if you want to get lumbered with loads of loud mouthed chavs, go with the xbox. 

    Personally it all comes down to the joypad for me, ive tried and cant get used to the xbox controlloer, so i play ps3. I've no allegiance to either system, you pays your money and makes your choice at the end of the day, but some will say they dont like the joypad on the ps3, so its just whats good for you and what you need and want really.

    Both very similar performance wise except the PS3 plays blu-rays. The Xbox is cheaper in the short run they can get pricey over time (router for wireless connection and pay for Xbox live ever time it runs out). I have an Xbox and it is an exceptional console and although you do have to pay for the tinterweb it's not too bad because it's an extremely rare event for Xbox live to be down unlike PS Network

    I have both, am not a fanboy of either.  Ps3 is better quality for playing films and tv etc. xbox is far,far superior for online-gaming, although you have to pay £40 a year (playstation network is free) it is worth it.
