Who is Everton's best player?

    Just thinking the other day and I made of top 5 (in no order) Baines, Jagielka, Fellaini, Arteta and Cahill. I'd say Baines is our best but I think that title could go to any of those 5.

    They all bring something different to the side, but I'd agree that those are our best players, with honourable mentions to a fit Saha, and Timmy Tourettes.

    Now if someone was to ask your best defender, midfielder and forward how would that go? (Midfield being the difficult one for me)

    Defender: Baines (Brings more all round to the team, and invaluable to me)
    Midfielder: ????
    Forward: Saha (A class apart when fully fit)

    Fellaini, Arteta and Cahill all bring something totally different to the team, and are all quality at what they do.

    Would be an interesting poll to find out who people think our best midfielder is and why?

    Each of those 3 offer so much for Everton but they offer different things.

    My heart says Cahill but Arteta is practically involved with every attack and Felli just dominates the game in the middle of the park he can really offer something in attack AND defence.

    Agree with four or your choices :)

    My top five, starting with our best player would be
    1) Baines
    2) Fellaini
    3) Jagielka
    4) Cahill
    5) Barkley (Even if he hasn't played much for us compared to the others, I think he will make a big impact this season.)

    Arteta would be sixth imo.

    Hopefully in a year or two, we'll be talking about how Ross Barkley is our best player. The kids got talent

    Barkley seems to have the vision of Xavi and always wants to get on the ball and change the game. Hopefully he wont be thrown out wide because I think that would be a massive waste.

    I think Moyes needs to take a risk, start Barkley in games he can and put Arteta out on the wing, because i think he can do a job for us there where he isn't dropping too deep, can take a player on, and deliver a sweet cross. Barkley can do the job that Arteta's been used for this last too seasons and be a central play maker

    Agree, Arteta did a fantastic job on the left this would look like a great midfield

    Arteta - Barkely - Cahill - Coleman
    - - - - - - - - - - Fellaini

    Arteta, Barkely and Coleman with the creative responsibilities and Cahill to take the chances and Felli help command the midfield

    Apparently Johhny's off to Barcelona, although there's a big hold in the deal as it's taking so long for him and his big flag to cycle all the way there

    fellaini without a doubt, saha and arteta aswell when both fit and on form.

    Baines is our best player with Fellaini not far behind. Saha can be class when FULLY FIT.
