Show Jumping and eventing. Nothing else.

    -----------------

Were you into it before the girls got into it mate, i presume you have always had an interest in it have you??

    -----------------

No. Only the last 3 years or so since the daughters been involved. Used to go to the races a lot but when it started to become trendy "ladies night" etc, I went right off it. I'll watch F1 if I'm sat at home doing nowt else but wouldn't say I'm a fan.

    -----------------

I'm not a fan of F1 either, but 2 or 3 times this season i actually sat down and watched a race from start to finishing, i dont know if it was the commentating or what but for once, it actually seemed pretty exciting if i dare say it!?

I take it you've become an expert at the show jumping and eventing now then??

    -----------------

I know as much as I ever will I think. Though the more I work with horses the more I realise just how little I know.

    -----------------

I dont know a lot about horses tbh mate, but, my little knowledge leads me to beleive that they have personalities a bit like humans and if they dont want to do something THEY WONT DO IT! I watch a lot of racing though and the best horseman ive seen is Ruby Walsh, blows Tony Mccoy out of the water every time for me as a horseman like.

    -----------------

You're right mate, we've got one now that nobody can ride, I mean nobody, except my daughter, its like a different horse with her. We've had pro riders on it and it won't do a thing for them. Daughter gets on, its dead submissive and will do anything. Weird. They will also take the mick if you let them. They'll walk all over you if you let them. Jockeys and show jumpers are very different people. There's more skill in show jumping and a tiny mistake will cost you the money. The worst thing is showing, the most corrupt shower of people you'll ever meet. Showjumping cannot be fixed, its impossible, thats one of the best things about it.

Thats a rare thing these days mate, cos as you'll well know, most other sports are corrupt!

Its bizarre mate, how horses seem to do things for certain people but wont for others, from my small experience, your daughter must have a talent though just to be able to make that sort of connection with the horse, could be like the lady horse whisperer or something!

She's just dead quiet on them and they respond to it. You took a big hunter on, for me and the wife, huge thing. Guy who we got it from said it wouldn't jump, my daughter got on it and started popping fences like they weren't there. She does have a gift for it, few people have said it now.

Cheers mate, I'll give you some tips for the Olympics when I know who's going, if you can get a price now for Eric Lamaze for gold though, might be worth a few quid, best horse has just dropped dead a couple of weeks ago but he's still looking miles ahead of the rest.

I watch som NHL, but the matches are usually in the middle of the night, so I tend to settle for highlights.

I like watching a lot of sports but often times I get board so I'll walk away from the tv and come back and watch how the game ends...
    NFL...the Lions
    Nascar
Rugby...doesn't matter the team, I just enjoy whatever is on.
    Baseball...the Tigers

I've never seen cricket, but it looks fascinating whenever I see the highlights on Sky Sports. I'd like to see a game someday.

don't mind a biot of F! if its a good race... used to watch a bit of snooker but its very dull these days.

Enjoy cricket though and still play the odd game to a very poor level....gets you out the house for a day and you land in the pub afterwards, whats not to like

I like football obviously and I quite like rugby, hockey and basketball. I hate cricket and I'm not a fan of boxing to be honest.
