So.....this place...

It barely works as a forum and is littered with bugs....despite the efforts of what could be described as far too many people.....the only notable addition to the place in christ knows how long is the fairly large button which links you directly to the division of the police that deals with child related crime and abuse.... the current crop of moderators have not just given up but disappeared....still, at least they tried to improve the place and didn't set about deleting the posts of people they didn't like as happened previously.... maybe all those CRB checks weren’t a complete waste of time...................good grief.

You could mistake it for neglect, but I doubt neglect is as rigorously, efficiently and consistently crap as this.

    Death knell?

Is the BR is set to become a place without moderation once again?

    Does anyone give a toss?

    It has had moderation recently?

I ended up on an RS forum once after doing a search about him being a boyhood fan, and it was generally more civilised than some of the impulsive invective shown here at times. Good moderation and site management van make all the difference.

Oddly, it can't be that hard to make a forum, you can get one for free, I have used them before, so why we have issues, lord only knows.

I think the technical issues have come about due to the link the webteam is trying to make between the 'Your Everton' area and the 'Blueroom'.

It would be simplier if they just had the Blueroom as a seperate element of the main site.

What are moderators for anyway?? To stop us all having the freedom of speech?

Its a big brother state we live in, and we are all controlled whether we like it or not.

He still uses the Blueroom twitter account to post his views.  What happened when he last posted?  Maybe his wife said 'Its me or the Blueroom'

    I thought he'd returned when I saw you're avatar.

Fair enough, it must be a pain dealing with the webteam, but you'd thought he'd still be taking a look even if he wasn't moderating

I would agree with most of this.
However...... I see the problem as less an issue of bugs, than the failings of mods who simply do not have the experience/intelligence to encourage debate at a rational level...and to discourage those who simply insult because they have nothing to say.
How else to explain the continued absence of those who have been the backbone of this place for many years?

This ain't the fight for Democracy lad, this is about enforcing civility in a public place. As opposed to syphility in a pubic one, which is far worse.

I'm not sure you can blame the moderation. Afterall, its the webteam who select the moderators...and who'd want to moderate for this webteam?

The response to OGV complaint was hilarious. First time we've had a complaint or some such??? Just taking the michael really... oh well, at least they've made themselves clear so that people wouldn't waste their time trying to sort it out any longer.

Maybe the place will improve with no moderators....doubtful in its current state... tbf, the only thing I can see that would sort this place out is new ownership.

Have you considered starting a protest group?  You could appoint your mates to it.  Have a policy that demands a change of ownership, but state that your aim isn't to depose the owners.

Then you could all walk to the pub together. Then all log onto the Blueroom together.
