look at the highlights- going forward the only real threats from the left with billy and baines. with no striking force up front what other alternatives are there? but you see if thats all we can do teams can predict what were gonna do and keep tight on the left stopping us coming through.
but when the subs came on gueye and Mcaleny , we looked a different side. both attacked the goal directly and were unlucky to miss the target with the shots they had. at ages of 21 and 19, with barkley 17 and vellious 19 we still have a bright future in my opinion despite not being able to sign a new superstar every year for the next few years. Our youth are our short term future and by the looks of their shining quality at young ages, I'm still excited despite all the negativity that looms over our club at present.
I think that moyes will gradually bring them into the first team starting line up over the next few years. All of them are very young players who will be prone to being burnt out or injured. I know its frustrating seeing saha up front on his own with cahill behind him , both past their best and knackered, but when you consider their tender ages I think Moyes is doing the right thing by not tiring them out, over playing them  and expecting too much from them.
I know its frustrating when vellious is scoring goals and not starting or playing enough, but moyes is managing them the best way he can in my opinion.
We are everton and we'll find a way- we always do. we do it the tough way but wont it be all that more satisfying succeeding eventually by doing it this way than just buying our way through? doesn't that make us tougher, stronger and more traditional and respectful than sh.itty buying a new superstar cos the players aren't perfect? We still have our soul and we are still the same everton football club and that is something we have to be grateful for.

think about it lads.... there's still hope

ive calmed down since yesterday, i also agree that we have some very promising kids comin through. my worry tho is that if we dont get a grip as a team, we wont have much chance of keeping them

Reading between the lines in the papers today, i think Moyes is going to start playing Timmy up front again.........
"Louis Saha was struggling(understatement of the season so far) for us at half time and i thought we did much better in the second half, when we played off Tim Cahill and supported him"...."getting a new striker(in the Jan window) would be a great start but when you get that there's something else you need fixing, that's football management"...........
so its Timmy up front until Jan.......

thats no good. hes too old to take on players and that was never his strength anyway. hes only decent in the box now but his reaction times to heading oppurtunities and striking them in from a cross are getting poorer.
Having heard that we may need to rely on vellious, thats if its not just paper talk

I was in the stand at St James Park in November when James McFadden came on as sub and looked sharp with some nice touches yet he has not featured since and does not appear to be injured!!

Not sure why he isn't even on the bench??

I would like to see Cahill in CM again, alongside Fellaini. Then there would at least be an element of surprise with him. Not to mention that he is also great at covering defensively. With two strikers already giving the defenders tast to attend, I think Cahill would be a talisman again.

Yes, there's still and always hope. Frustrations just hit everybody. Personally, I'm waiting to see what's gonna happen in January and of course how the tactics of Moyes gonna develope. Still and always proud to support my team -> though I'm telling other footballfans what the situation is at the moment, but that it's alrite.

sounds very good. extremely good. so good that it should be done on the pitch! There's other alternatives too, let's hope Moyes nales one of them.

it wouldnt even matter if we bought ruddy Messi in Jan. DM amazingly negative tactics would decrease his value by about 50 million.  2 games and barely a shot on target. cmon. hate to say it but i think a new manager is required in Jan not a striker
