Personally, I think Bill must have been p1$$ed!!

...or he is a really unstable person...

However, I like the fact that we have made a "brochure" to sell the club, but I question who it has been given to?

What i don't get is we allknow we are skint yet this seems to have shocked people.

The union want us to have more clarity yet when he does an interview everyone complains

Everyone wants us to keep our best players despite knowing we are in a sell to buy era.

Bill can't win in my eyes.

He could sell 2players and pay off a huge chunk of the debt but would prefer to keep the squad and suffer the consequences.

We are all shocked because perhaps we didn't realise just how incompetent BS Bill really is, which the transcript reveals.

If he's going to sell two players and get a decent amount of money for two or three players, I'd like it to be Rodders and Anichebe. I could see Rodders being sold as we'll get a decent amount for him but we'd probably struggle to sell Vic.

Completely agree. The term scape goat comes to mind. I am sure he is not completely fre of blame, but it sounds like the real problems lie with the "senior management" at the club i.e. Elstone.

On the other hand, it doesnt seem like Bill knows what the hell anybody is saying at the club. He just referred to Ian Ross.

IMO Rodwell will only get us decent money if he has a big season this season. I dont think Anichebe would leave even if we accepted an offer. Nobody would offer him the wages he is currently on.

I'm sure they do, I certainly do, especially his attitude towards fans in one of his recent blogs, although they probably don't have as big an issue as they do with Kenwright. I agree that the blame shouldn't lie solely with BS Bill, but as Chairman, he should take the bulk of the blame.

Barry, “Let’s leave Ian Ross out of it; we have no problem with Robert Elstone

It amazes me how people see different things from the same report.

What are your views on the Union allegedly secretly taping the interview after being asked not too.

I can see where Bill is coming from too though. Under his reign (albeit thanks to Moyes) we have come on in leaps and bounds, we have broken the transfer record time and time again, and now he is being ripped to bits because he wont just sell us to "anyone". As I have said before, I would prefer Bill all day as opposed to those ones that wrecked Portsmouth!

Or leeds or Newcastle or Blackburn.

It annoys me that not many see the positives that Kenwright has brought.

We have stability yet i feel poor management from Moyeshas cost us dearly over the past 2 seasons yet Bill can't say that as the fans love Moyes

At the end of the day Bill is a showman and times are tough. The club has been borrowing money and selling players to fund buying players.

Banks won't be looking to lend money to Everton. On that point we can all agree I'm sure. We also (aside from the Pienaar money which has gone to the bank) haven't sold anyone of note(to be honest the money from Vaughan alone is not going to buy a player that will improve our squad so we'll have to wait to see if that shows up by the end of the window) so its not surprising we haven't bought anyone as yet.

That said, selling Vaughan, Yobo and Yakubu and taking into consideration their combined wages should provide enough to get a player or two in.

But the thing for me that is really telling from this meeting it this statement here:

"The chairman is explaining he doesn’t claim the interest payable on an £11m loan yet
the CEO has said not one of the directors has invested a single penny... who are we meant to believe?"

That isn't from the meeting, its from the Blue Union's 'summary and conclusions' piece that they released afterwards. Which is to say that they held the meeting, then went away and thought about it and put their main points down, researched them to make sure they had everything right before putting their final thoughts on the subject into the public domain.

A loan, interest free, is not investment. If the loan was attracting interest but Bill Kenwright was offering that interest back to the club and expecting nothing back in return other than the increase in the value of the asset he has shares in, i.e the club, then that could be classed as investment.

But its not, its an interest free loan which he expects to get back. Probably on the sale of the club, and if he doesn't get it back, he'll put it down as a loss in his combined business accounts which will be offset against the earnings of other parts of his business. Essentially, Bill will not lose that 10 million. But he has not invested ten million into the club either.

The sheer fact that these three guys who met with Kenwright are unable to grasp that fact even after having considerable time to get their heads around it and double check everything they were going to say pretty much sums up the situation.

Everton are getting so much stick from their fans over this seasons transfer window that Bill is even having to resort to sitting down with complete muppets such as these three. And that is pretty much all that can be accurately deduced from it.

Edit: Its even worse than that really, is the fact that these guys have made such an issue out of Kenwright and the board thinking that the fans can't understand the accounts... while making it crystal clear that they don't understand the really basic financial terminology. Such as 'investment' or 'interest free loan'.

Its just hugely embarrassing to be honest.

just sell some players its that simple!!
billy or rodwell would fund the debt this year.. with barkely, gaye velios all coming through we wouldnt miss them one bit!
at least we know that the debt was being reduced!

another point.. if our club is in such a state then we should have been told earlier!
everton is our club! and we deserve to know about situations like this! as its us that have kept it going for over 100 years!

Alright, I missed that bit, d'oh! As for the secret taping of the meeting..... I don't think it was a secret. I posted yesterday part of the transcript which mentioned that Bill knew that the interview was going to be made available to supporters, but that anything about his private life and family would not be asked or included in the interview transcript.

    Would be pointless to speculate.

You can understand, given the suspicion around the club and its situation currently, that all four of them would have been happy to have the conversation taped for practical reasons. After all it went on for three and a half hours.

You can also envisage Kenwright not agreeing to it being taped and it just being an honest conversation between Evertonians.

You would also not put it past some half witted walter mitty type taking in hidden recording equipment in the hope of catching Kenwright red handed admitting that he'd turned down the richest man on planet earth on the grounds that he wasn't going to be kept on as club ambassador.

Without knowing if it was or wasn't taped....or if Kenwright did or didn't agree to it. There isn't really anything worth commenting on. Although, to be honest, maybe I don't know the latest details about it.

    What is know about it?

agree with that.... no one hates kenwright, i never have....

but going forward scares me and its inevitable we will be selling worth £40m of players over the next year just to survive, thats a certainty

Not if we play like we can all season and get to a final, and maybe into Europe. This will bring in more income, but the trouble is when people expect us to invest the increased income to progress to the next level. Sometimes you have to pay off your current debt to free up spendies!!

It is shocking the in ability of BK ti answer direct questions. Frustrating as heel as his answers go around in circles

My first question would have been.

Are you open to a fans takeover?

Second question if so How much?

Howdy, Stranger!
