Mark, “We’ve heard nothing since Bill…James Vaughan left, that’s it, no other news, no transfers.” Bill responded, “We’ve got no money”

Barry “Okay Bill, how do we get out of this trouble?” Bill replied that didn’t he just say how do we get out of this? Bill, “Look, we have just done a document to the bank which says you can’t stop the football club from trading…do you not think the bank doesn’t ask me every week how we’re doing with the sale? They’re **** desperate. So what I’ve told them is ‘don’t kill us this season’…no I will not sell Jagielka, just as last year I was hung drawn and quartered for not selling Arteta. You know the four players we don’t dare sell. Baines, Jagielka, Fellaini and Tim Howard; In simple arithmetic, if you want me show you, £5m a year for 9 years is £45m…The Pienaar money has gone to the bank.” Mark, “Okay Bill, there you go, that’s an answer we haven’t had from you before.”

See beano the money for transfers doesn't get reinvested back into the team

I've just been reading this, scary times ahead, and the two points that got me were that 1) Bill doesn't appear to know what is meant by 'other operating costs' so what chance have we as the fans got? 2) He doesn't know what the CEO (namely, Elstone) or any of the other stooges are saying so suggests there is not a lot of communication between them!

I'm also growing tired of this 'I'm the biggest Evertonian you'll see' and 'There's nobody better than me at selling the club'...... Honestly, I think Jim Carrey was the wrong choice for Liar Liar......

I don't have the answers, I'll admit that, but reading the article..... Neither does BS Bill!

The week after Chelsea we heard that seventh was as good as it gets for Everton, that we don’t need a billionaire…that we want to do our business early and that Louis Saha slept in an oxygen tent…Bill, “Maybe he does….”

lololol, laughing my head off about this, saha in an oxygen tent.

Pleased he pointed the obvious out though for those amongst us that dont understand...THERE IS NO MONEY IN THE WORLD, AND THE FEW THAT HAVE IT, ARE NOT GOING TO GIVE IT AWAY WHEN TIMES ARE HARD, SIMPLE REALLY ISNT IT.

Made me laugh that, that he said Liverpool havnt been sold, the owners are just taking on the debt! No wonder John Henry is interested in a ground share......and didnt somebody say that this wasnt the best offer anyway, they just took the 1st one that came along??

How can he say the credit crunch is putting the squeeze on us yet it hasn't affected other clubs with near 300 million spent this window

He's an incompetent old fool and me personally now suspicious of where the money I put into the clubs goes because I'm sure a fu'cking hell Bill doesn't

Don't try change the context of what I said
Your exact words were "McFadden, Davies even Andy Johnsons fee went on debt"
I pointed out that's not true!
    Which it isn't!

So the fact most of this 300m spend has come from Man City (owned by a billionaire playboy), Sunderland who sold 40m worth of players and reinvested (same with Liverfool) doesn't really mean much??
Not many other teams have spent.
Spurs haven't spent much at all, and they are supposedly on the up.
    Bolton are skint.
Blackburn even with new owners, seem to be skint.
Nearly everyone is skint, apart from the top couple of teams.
Yes Stoke have spent a little, but go back 2 years and what kind of spend did they have before that? Not a lot i would hazard a guess.
As to Kenwrights comments - He's the chairman, doesn't mean he is aware of everything that goes on with the accounts and other things they asked.
I mean the managing director at my company isn't aware of half the things that go on in various departments- he relies on his other directors/managers to run their various sections.
Dont get me wrong, i'm not pro-kenwright - there does seem to be a serious lack of communication with his team leaders and i'm seriously worried about how we move forward.
Bar a new owner coughing up lots of cash, i have no idea what we can do to make matters better (apart from flogging all our saleable asset players and replacing with cheaper players so we can reduce debts).

Blue union made it clear to BK that communication is needed, so BK makes 2 statements and people start bitching again.
    Unreal

The only thing I got out of that is that Kenwright is stark raving mad; and although I am usually against the Kenwright out brigade, I'm afraid....

Man City got so lucky with the new stadium that was handed to them.
Does make you wonder, if they were still at Maine Road, would they have been taken over by the same people?
