whats the point in being everton captain and coming out and talking about one of our rival opponents?

I'm asked by someone on my opinion on the opposition and I spout $hite about the opposition going on about how great they are and how theyll bounce back. I disagree. He's an everton player and captain and publically it should ALL be about everton, for the points ive given above.
yh and that was at the time a genuine goodbye to the blueroom went 3 weeks without coming on here and decided to come back later.... not attention seeking but neville is cos he always wants to give his opinion and spout $hit about everton and united on tw@tter instead of keeping focus and leading the team properly and preparing himself for the matches he has to pretty much lead

yh exactly- as they say in america hes always giving in his two cents, always has to give his opinion...
its annoying because he should be professional and just focus on the game. every now and then give your opinion but giving four minute long interviews about things that arent directly linked to the next match eg donovan and talking about the mancs screams out attention seeker to me and i think as captain youve got to keep focused about training, playing well and leading the team.
