    Because I tend to lurk a few forums, especially before Liverpool play whoever it is, and there must have been some sort of thread that annoyed me.

    Dalgleish....You wonder why you have provoked  some hostile responses? you are a Liverpool fan who has come onto the Everton forums asking if you think our player is better than yours. It's a bit like a black man walking into a NF meeting and asking "who is better blacks or whites"....It's a **** stupid question. Baines is a better player, enrique has had a good 3 months, baines has been quality almost every game for the last 2 years..shame about the rest

    I think Baines is a bit better, but I will admit that Enrique is a decent player.

    Yer come on 'ere asking if Baines - proven season on season to be on of the best fullbacks around and you claim that Enrique, who you lot would never have mentioned before you bought him, and has only played feckin 14 games for yer is better...

    a player who applies full integrity with everything he does and never breaches the professional ethics clause set out by his employers in the code of conduct....

    unlike some eg russ and milky.....

    Suarez is an absolutely quality player, and I can see why other fans would hate him, but there's definitely a witch hunt around him at the moment.

    but in my experience everton and liverpool fans in merseyside arent!! they only really care about their team... some scousers i know arent even ar$ed about england cos its all about liverpool or everton..
    seriously we wont discriminate- why do you support liverpool? got family from there or is there another reason you started supporting them???  if its the first reason youll understand where im coming from

    That may have something to do with the fact that he dives all game every game. And the fact he moans all game every game. And the fact that he has been accused of being racist. And the fact that he put a finger up to the Fulham fans.

    Good bit of skill against Fulham - You have to admit though he is a bit of a ****.  Any witch hunt is justified, and to be expected because thats how he wants to play the game.

    loads of my rs mates love him as a player think hes amazing and i agree but what youve put here is exactly the reason why they also hate his personality and want it out of his game otherwise hes disgracing the club

    TBH Enrique Iglesias is poor defensively. It's not even a competition. Baines is arguably our best player and Enrique to say the least isn't up to the same standard.

    Suarez does dive, but no more than players like Nani or Gervinho. When Larsson made a laughable dive to win a penalty for Sunderland last weekend it didn't dominate the back pages because he's not top quality like Suarez. The racist thing is only an accusation at the moment - there's no defending him for it if he is guilty but it's been 9 weeks and still nothing, so you can't make a judgement like that. The finger thing was unprofessional and a bit stupid but he's not the first player to do that or something similar, and a lot of the others who have haven't faced any kind of charges.

    Okay, so defensively Liverpool have conceded 4 less goals.  Not a lot in that is there?

    Enrique - 1 goal 7 assists

    Baines - 11 goals 24 assists

    National team appearance:

    Enrique - 0 (behind 33 year old Capdevilla who aint all that)
    Baines - 7 (behind Ashley Cole who rightly or wrongly is heralded as one of the best in the world)

    Value:

    Enrique - £6.6m
    Baines - £15m

    But of course, I might just be a bitter blue.
